Just that no natural alicorns were born after Equestria was founded(till Flurry Heart happened).

Since, some time ago, I had a debate with someone who somehow didn’t think that the thing that possessed Rarity and turned her into NMR, and what turned Luna into NMM, were one and the same. Instead, he somehow thought NMR was the result of Rarity possessed by Shadowfright. How that works is beyond me.
 
And heck! I even have a co-worker who seems to have put no reading comprehension into the chapter books. Specifically, The Journal of the Two Sisters. Seeing as he thought Luna and Celestia were born as Unicorns as opposed to Alicorns. I even showed him paragraphs proving otherwise, but he still persisted. Likely meaning that he was just trying to get under my skin.

It should count as selfcest though. It’s made quite clear in the NMR arc that Nightmare Rarity is Nightmare Moon in a new form, and it’s even more solidified that Nightmare Moon is Nightmare Rarity in her “Fiendship is Magic” issue.
 
I realize this comment is late as hell…but it baffles me how this continues to fly over the head of the fandom even after two years.

… this is one of the least plausible ones, for sake of not knowing that Nightmare can, uh, Nightmarify more than one pony at a time.  
Most f/f pony shippings don’t really have… any particular problems? Princess ships, age difference ships, incest ships, and enemyships are admittedly plausibility-reducers, but even all of those constitute a minority of possibilities or popular ones.

Nightmare Moon x Nightmare Rarity wouldn’t count as selfcest would it? I’ll admit I never read the Nightmare Rarity comics to see how much it changed dress horse’s personality.
