He’s referring to two fics that i wrote within an alternate universe that’s similar to canon, but i started writing them before season three. I ended up creating original personalities for every single Wonderbolt, including Soarin, Spitfire, and Fleetfoot because at the time they had very little screen time or development.
I purposely made them far beyond Dash in speed and skill (at first, she catches up as the series of fics goes on) in order for her to realize what it took to become a Wonderbolt and inspire her to get serious about it instead of always assuming she was awesome by nature and would have no problem joining them.
There’s a heck of a lot more to them (and honestly the first two fics in the series are old, i’ve improved a lot since then) but there’s no way i could give a full description here xD the first two together are a total of 150K words, but the third is closing in on 900K xD I’ve kind of gone wild in creating a whole alternate world and timeline post season three.

Wait. Which isn’t Canon? That Soarin is the worst Wonderbolt (only in the sense he hurts himself and got replaced by Rainbow despite being healed up), or that Rainbow is far faster than any Pegasus ever shown, save for Lightning Dust? She came in second in the Pegasus race in the Equestria Games behind the Wonderbolts BARELY, despite Fluttershy and Bulk being incredibly slow. In a one on one drag race, even without the Sonic Rainboom, she is far faster than any of those three Wonderbolts.
