I put a lot of work into these comics, and reading comments like these make it all worthwhile.

Well, knowing Twilight she tends to have spurts of self-esteem issues, doubts about herself, exaggerates, (I assume she’s exaggerating here) or worries what others think. She tends to be harder on herself then anybody else is. So it actually seems very in-character to me.
Like in the newest ep’ when Spike stated she’s never let anypony down before, she insisted, “Are you kidding? I’ve totally let ponies down before!”
Not really natural if you consider how many times Twi has taken care of Spike or saved his life, etc and etc and she seems to have forgotten about all that. Hope Spike will tell something similar like that next page and that he understands that she’s under lots of stress currently to find whatever she needs to find in those books and that he doesn’t want her to be sad or to beat herself up, he just wants her to rest or to take a pause to do something else than working nonstop.
