I’ve always found it rather annoying that despite being one of the first non-Pony races to show up in G4, and despite almost every other pony-intelligent species getting towns and lore and populations, FiM never did anything else with Zebra.
I’m 70% convinced the “1 Zebra per animated series” limit we’ve gotten only exists to avoid making a completely monochrome population. Here’s hoping to G5.

Zebras are the most disappointing introduction of a species in MLP after the buffalo. I wish we had seen at least a couple more zebras in the show. Zecora could have has a family member visit, or a foreign Zebra dignitary could visit… I’m glad they had a little more of the Zebras in the comics, though. And the kelpies, who I wish had crossed into the show… Ah well, the comics are good too.
