Technically, 8 was the Doctor longer than anyone, because from 1996-2005, he was the current Doctor as far as the comics, the novels, and the audio stories, were concerned, and that counts because until the series was revived in 2005, People had to look towards the non televised Who to get there fill, and its thanks to the fans who listened to all the Big Finish CDs and read all the DWM comics (most staring the eighth Doctor) that helped keep Doctor Who alive until Russel T. Davies revived the series. So if you say that 8 wasn’t an important Doctor, then you are overlooking the fact that without 8 and his quirky romanticism then, the series may not have been able to survive “the wilderness years”.
But that doesn’t mean time forgot him, he is officially the eighth Doctor, now if he was not counting officially then saying that time forgot him might make sense, but that’s not the case, also he did some audio plays as well.
Nobody ever remembers him, and he only appeared once.
How is he “the Doctor that time forgot” he is officially the eighth Doctor.
and we consider mcgann the doctor that time forgot.
Naw.
We consider Tom Baker the classic doctor who, while we consider Tennant the modern doctor who.
Damn right.
Tom Baker: Instant Win.
The Fourth Doctor is often considered the Doctor by fans of the Classic series. It’s not hard to see why, since he had the longest run of any Doctor in the series, remaining on the show for seven consecutive years.
