In this comic, Rarity is a very different character than in the show.
Well it’s all up to the author anyway.
I would like to see his interactions with Rarity in this. But it’s a bit too predictable as there’s plenty of Sparity shipping alternate realities out there. Still would be fun considering how Rarity seems like a bit of a loose mare in ATAF universe and spike seems to be a bit of a pimp in his own right.
Kind of like how with Sunburst’s crush on Starlight we had the confession moment, and then in the next comic it was stated that Starlight let him down gently off-screen.
It’s just Spike’s natural charm that’s to blame.

Don’t worry, Spike and Vinyl have always been shown as purely friends. Though it has been shown Vinyl is interested in who Spike is closest to on numerous occasions. It is likely Vinyl is jokingly doing this.
As a Sparity fan, a part of me wants to see more interactions with you-know-who.
