You do have a point there, the artist probably didn’t mean much.
Yeah, I never cared for the ‘shipper wars, I got burned out on them after seeing all of them in the DA Sonic fanbase.

I do like both ships personally, so it does getting a little annoying seeing stuff like this.

I’m not very into ‘shipping, but I kinda prefer SweetieMash too, (even when they’re portrayed as just platonic friends) despite some fans hating on it nowadays.
Hilariously, I hear Clair Corlett the voice of Sweetie likes “SweetieMash” too, and jokingly refered to Button as her boyfriend in a Q&A session online.

I guess it’s due to how popular SweetieMash is that kind of snuffed out RubyMash.
Surprised ‘shippers haven’t run with that one yet.

Most ships are of characters that never even met before. Sweetie & Button have had more interaction then alot of other popular ’ships.
Heck, Octavia & DJ were ’shipped (both romantically, and platonically “friendshipped”) by fans long before they even appeared in an episode together.

button and ruby were seen in the 100th episode together giving each other eye to eye, so i think that’s why the artist wanted sweetie to stop that ship i guess
Not to mention extremely tiresome.
So are those who keep complaining about it.
Chances are, you guys downvoting this probably like at least one popular ’shipping.
