the comic and the books follow the “canon-until-contraddicted-by-the-show” used for Doctor Who for all those years
 
practically, until the showsdoes not prove it wrong, it is canon
 
the biggest example is with Daring Do, as up to that episode “A.K.Yearling” was the pseudonim for Twilight Velvet, and rapidly dropped after the episode aired
 
so, unless DD next apperance (maybe), the books are canon

THe Daring Do books are, as of right now, canon. I mean, since Berrow is in the show and all, the books could be referenced. I only read Eternal and Marked Thief. And Forbidden City is the last one that I’m catching up. Eternal Flower was my most least favorite out of the trilogy although, because Daring has gotten development character treatment unlike Ahuizotl. Marked Theif was my most favorite. Mainly because it shuts the analyzers up with the whole “800 years of heat” bullshit. That, and the retarded theory of controlling the sun.

The only book that I’m sure is canon is “The Journal of the Two Sisters”. The comics and other books are written so as not to contradict canon, but might not be a part of it.  
Also, the comics are hit-and-miss, but some of them are pretty good.

I have a question. Should I read the Chapters Books written by GM Berrow? Are they good? Are they Canoj?
 
I refuse to read the IDW Comics because of these reasons.
