Mostly fun yeah, but also trying to reward users for participating in helping out the site, like tagging badges, uploader badges, artist badges, etc.

How often is the “Responsible Disclosure” badge handed out? Becuase i don;t think i have seen anyone get that badge recently.

I’m just wondering, what would be considered the responsible way to get that badge? Is it just as simple as giving a site staff a OM and going “Hey, I think I might have found a bug or something”?
 
Because I sent few messages a while ago to some of the mods about somethings I found that might have been bugs that got sorted, and I was wondering if that would count towards the badge or not.

in the unlikely event you were to ever find a bug that was fairly serious in nature, particularly ones involving site security or user privacy (basically anything that would actually bring harm to the site or it’s users if abused), report it in a one-on-one pm with one of the dark triumvirate (supreme leader snoke, kylo ren, or general hux here).

Ah, so the badge is only rewarded if you report a serious bug then, rather then a minor one?

Minor bugs and technical glitches don’t earn the badge. It’s generally only awarded to people who find bugs that could have an overly major impact on the site. Stuff like application crashes, security flaws, etc.
 
It’s not awarded too often because we’re very careful when it comes to code changes, and anything that can potentially break the site is usually reviewed by multiple people.
