Sadly, Tumblr removed the ability to get _raw images.

Didn’t realize the tumblr grabber didn’t get the _raw images anymore. Anyway, asked the artist I normally upload for if I can use their raw scans and they’re cool with it.

Pretty sure for something that recent, you can just reupload the higher res version and send a merge request. The purpose of this thread was to prevent people from flooding the front page with reuploads of old art, and something uploaded a day or two ago isn’t old enough to fall under that.

Tumblr removed access to all of the raw images.

A handful of the raws I linked to I spent a couple of hours tracking down reblogs for because the artist’s tumblr got nuked. And staff inaction means they’re now out of our reach. It’s infuriating.

Yeah. I run a “source bot” on discord that finds image sources/best versions of images. I’d literally only just added the feature to it to get _raw tumblr images from any tumblr link when they did this. I didn’t so much roll the update back as just comment it in case they add it back.
 
Btw, thanks for an easy to use API that makes such a bot easier to write!

Probably a patron or friend uploading the originals (like I do for Dilarus’ stuff).

Well, time to completely subvert/invert/whatever the purpose of this thread!
 
There’s lots of uploads with embedded pictures in their description, usually with Tumblr asks like in >>1839111.  
Obviously, quite a few embeds used raws and have now 404’d. I went through a description:*_raw* search and made a list of all embedded raws I found, together with working 1280p urls to replace them. I hope I didn’t mix anything up…
