Never, for a variety of reasons. If someone is harassing you or causing trouble, please report them.

So forum threads now can have polls. Another developer worked on this, I just did some minor UX changes (better icon, more readable results, etc.).
 
I’m considering some minor changes to post/comment footers so that the little links are a little more clickable.  
Further out, I’m looking at improving autodedupe so it uses the median frame of animations/videos instead of the first frame. Should make for less silly automatic dupe reports.  
Also considering a scraper setup for FA (it’s really, really annoying to upload masses of FA images).
 
Finally, in the far term, the most important change will probably be a better way of tagging that shows you implications for approval; this is mainly needed because with lots of implications setup, even with some improvements I’ve made to what tags imply what (like not making pooping imply scat), there tends to be a lot of accidentally-added incorrect tags.  
This should also prevent ratings incompatibilities from implied ratings, although I will try to make something soon that, instead of rejecting incompatible rating levels, goes with the higher and allows the tag change.

Ratings in tag changes should now properly merge to the highest rating in each category. The code changes necessary were quite a hassle, of course.

So, has there been a difference in the amount of reports, ever since moving it to be the first tab under an image?
 
Because even after two months, I still think that @Barhandar is absolutely right, and that the favouriters list should be back as the leftmost option.

There does not seem to be a significant difference in amount of reports comparing 2-month windows; a difference wasn’t expected since often people do eventually accomplish important goals like reporting, even if it takes them a while.

…Then what was the point of moving them around? You’d think that having the reporting function be “everyone needs to know about” by way of moving the button would lead to at least a slight increase of reports, right? That seems to be the goal here.
 
If people are going to “eventually accomplish” the goal of reporting an image, then why move it in the first place? They were going to find the button either way.  
It seems that @Mikey was right here when they said that it wouldn’t do anything to increase reports.

It’s possible that it was for general workflow reasons. For the reporter (less chance of a mis-click) and/or back-end (It’s worked on more, so the quicker access to that part of the code, the better). I’m not sure many people ever checked the favoriters, save for a few outliers.
 
EDIT: And if the number of reports hadn’t significantly, then that’s more of a good sign rather than a bad one.

Why wasn’t I given a warning before being banned a second time, my first one was with warning, so why not the second?

It is absolutely not the right thread.

So, some time ago a new sort feature was added - to sort by initial upload date or by update date. And, while it’s a good feature, I think there’s a bit of an oversight, which is - it defaults to “update date” and you can’t change that default. I personally prefer to sort by the initial upload date and I have to switch it manually over and over again everytime I go to any tag or search anything. I mean, it’s not the end of the world and I’m getting by, but it would be very nice to just have an option to set the default.

A few days ago someone started defeating our recaptchas with the sole purpose of making accounts to send spam. Several hundred accounts were created and who knows how many PMs.
 
In order to defeat this, we temporarily added another question to the registration page, asking new users to input the name of the character who was “like a younger brother to Twilight in the show.” (Amazingly, we got emails from prospective users who got this question incorrect.)
 
Now that we’ve had a bit more time, we’ve come up with our own solution. It’s not perfect, and it’s not even as good as recaptcha, in my opinion, but it isn’t trivial to defeat and more importantly it most likely won’t be affected by spammers who have outsourced captcha farms solve the challenges for them.
 

A “report conversation” button has been added to private messages. This allows you to report spammy/rule violating PMs to the site staff directly, instead of having to report a user’s profile and including a link to the conversation.
 
Please be aware that if you report a conversation, the entirety of that conversation will be available to site staff.
 

 
The “report conversation” will only appear at the top of each conversation, not below each messages like with comments and forum posts.

Plus that happens to me on multiple computers, I just always figured Microsoft’s local NTP server for my region was off.
 
I’m not doing anything so time sensitive that it being off by a few seconds bugged me, so I’ve never cared and will continue to not.

Holy crap, Joey’s from the future! This explains so much.

What is the future like? Do we finally have flying cars? Civilian space travel? The 2019 DB collab?

I don’t like the new function for the download button. It disables the ability to download using my download manager (Downthemall), which avoids the hassle of using my browser’s pop-up explorer window. It also prevents my download manager from enforcing the limits set. And there’s no way to stop the download once you’ve clicked it, outside of closing the page.

Same here, but without even using an extension/downloader. I plain can’t click “Download” or “DL” buttons, on some image pages, without it showing “Error”.
