Site staff messing with stuff

I tend to lurk around the threads and forums and i noticed in the roleplay section that no rules were changed for 5 years with no issues, no abundance of problems, etc. I find that now since staff have medlled with it and changed rules the few that are there and happy with what was before are extremely mad.
 
My point here is to ask if staff should be fixing things that arent broken.

Ive been as a BGP for about a year just watching and doing things wherever but i never had an issue with that stuff. I dont like it when things like this happen.
 
Staff messing with shit and then acting like it fixed some huge issue. The site itself has images that violate their little rule there anyhow.

Gonna have to agree on this as well. Unnecessary rule change. It doesn’t directly affect me as of now. But if this had been implemented in the past, it would have prevented quiet a lot of interaction. I believe the NSFW tag in thread titles is sufficient to warn users of lewd, dark or questionable material.

And the fact that you have made it clear that its fine for non anthros to do stuff but not anthros. Makes no sense.

While I don’t get involved with rule changes too much, as far as I could tell there are some really solid reasons for each and every rule change. We don’t just change them because we get bored, heck, most of the mods hate change even more than you do. We change stuff if there is a really good reason to do so, or at least we believe so.

Germany (where part of Derpibooru is hosted) has a law that declares not only actual child porn illegal, but also any art (that includes text) that is realistic/human enough. So ponies are fine, but half-human might fall under the law.

We arent defending that, we are just trying to defend the fact that this rule fucks with already known stuff. We never had an issue with this before.

Not so much a rule change as it is a very big fuckup on blossums part by not making it proper clear.
 
We knew all of this before the thread and then we got the impression that charactrs werent allowed to be below 18 regardless unless it was SFW.
 
Now we do plan to finish this big misunderstanding soon anyhow so i suggest deleting this thread.
