IIRC a mod said that every shipping tag should have implied lesbian/straight/whatever tag.
 
And aren’t people supposed to review tags after applying them, exactly for the reason that implications may not apply for that particular image? Ideally site should add implications in real time and highlighted with different color, so you could review them before saving.

I don’t like this shipping implication in general not very much, for various reason. One is that I don’t like to stamp safe images with sexual implications, because not every shipping pictures has sexual content. Second is that we have things like futa, rule 63 and various other things that kinda make stamps like lesbian, gay and straight kinda silly. That is why I would prefer to remove those implications completely and make a cleanup on all safe pictures with the shipping tag…  
But at this point I know that that will not happen.
 
Your suggestion is also pretty good. Maybe it would be a good feature suggestion. But meanwhile maybe a short message to remind the uploaders in general would help too?

Sometimes people tag the character names but not the general tag. So the general tag, Background Human, should be implied by the names.
