Topic subscription/following

Hello there staff,
 
first I want to thank you for your continuing  
efforts I heard you want to add artist Dashboard  
and some other stuff, so…

So now that the fawning is over I want to suggest  
a feature that lets us follow a Topic.
 
I like the minimalistic approach on the Forum and  
would like it to stay that way so I would propose the following:
 
When writing a new post to a Topic there is a  
“Post Reply” and a “Post Replay and follow” Button.
 
A little link under the Topics name, after the time  
indication, that says “follow” respectively “stop  
following”.
 
On the root level all followed Topics are presented above  
the Categories. On a level further down only Topics in that  
Category that are follow are presented above the newest Topics.
 
A followed Topic with a new post is presented by just  
one line with the Topics name and a link to the newest  
answer ( “Go To post by XYZ” ).
 
That would be really nice.

This is another feature that’s already on the wishlist for things we want to implement. As well as for following forum topics we’ve intended to write a system for doing the same thing with image comments for some time. It’ll be done eventually.
