The EG designs always wigged me out. Their eyes are too big, their mouths are too small, their noses are barely even there, their heads are way too big compared to the rest of their bodies and especially those stick-thin necks, their limbs are disturbingly skinny and noodle-like and their fingers… dear God… I don’t know what it about them – maybe the utter lack of fingernails – but they just freak me out. Plus there’s something off about the way they dress, too – to me, those weird skirts always made them look like bells or something. At least that’s stooped being a thing with newer character designs.
 
Seriously, I get what the animators were going for but the results are seriously in the uncanny valley for me. I can definitely see how they’d be more comparable to your standard grey alien than anything – overdeveloped head and eyes, underdeveloped everything else.

Yeah, I’m betting Hasbro is just going to make another new generation, G5. Wouldn’t surprise me in the least if it does happen.

What I read in there, I didn’t like. I’ll just say that right now. If it’s fake, then that’s great, but I don’t think so. Not now.

No, we really don’t. Everything that’s “come out” is super easy to fake, and a lot of it really looks like it is. Nothing is confirmed. Confirmation can only come from one source and they ain’t said jack yet. So again, people need to stop treating any of this like it’s confirmed. It’s not.

This “super easy to fake” (though certainly not quick to) stuff came bundled with a lot of virtually impossible to fake stuff. I’m pretty sure the official announcement is going to pretty much confirm it.

If you’ll excuse me, your prediction was based on nothing beyond the show reaching an entirely arbitrary milestone of a movie and eight seasons. By itself, that was nothing but a shot in the dark.
 
So, yes, I’ve heard about the leak. Maybe it’s right and maybe it isn’t. If it is, I wouldn’t consider your prediction three months ago any more believable in hindsight – it would still be an entirely unsupported guess that, in this case, might turn out to be correct.
 
Throw enough stones in the dark and eventually you’ll hit something, but that eventual hit doesn’t mean you’re aiming well.

I just hope most everything after Season 9 is fake. It doesn’t look like it, but I have hope.

I don’t suppose it will be long before Hasbro has it all taken down, but good luck reining the spoilers now. Lovely.
 
As for the post-Season 9 stuff, we’ll see. It’s going to be more than a year in the future in any case. If it’s fake, it’s plenty of time for it to be debunked. If it’s true, it’s still plenty of time to digest the news and find something else to fill in our time. Better to know in advance than to have it all thrust at us all of a sudden, I suppose, if that’s what will happen.

To be fair, I have absolutely no idea how S8 went up. I’m actually extremely surprised, since most of what was in the leak had nothing to do with S8.
 
It should be noted that MOST of the accounts are russian-based. DHX lawyers are searching the wrong guy in Germany.

So that’s two years to go.
 
That’s 21% of the show’s overall run still ahead. That’s the equivalent of:  
going from Friendship is Magic to A Canterlot Wedding again  
going from The Crystal Empire to Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep again  
going from Princess Twilight Sparkle to The Cutie Remark again  
going from The Crystalling to Shadow Play again
 
That’s more time than we had to wait before seeing Luna again. That’s almost the same amount of time we had to wait before seeing Trixie again.
 
The time the show has left is longer than the period where Lauren Faust was executive producer.

Funny that, I never knew the number 8 was the same as the number 9. Mostly because it’s not. So even assuming your “confirmation” that S09 is the end is what you claim it is (and given your track record that’s doubtful), all it’s confirmation of is that you were dead flat wrong before when you predicted it would end with S08.

No, it lacks major ambiance, refined voices, some voice placements are wrong, and there’s some color and outline issues. I haven’t watched much of any of it, but I do know that a good week ago, all of it was up.
