If I’m not mistaken, we never really get any insight into Cozy’s origin, which is a shame because there are some real questions to be asked as to why a filly could turn out like she did. Personally, I can’t imagine how being eternally imprisoned yet kept conscious inside a block of stone could be considered a “proportionate” punishment for anything, really. Anyways, I don’t believe in punishment for punishment’s sake. So this is a definite no for me.

People shouldn’t take this guy’s ridicule and mockery as canon for the villain trio’s status. Considering every time anyone’s been petrified on the show, they’ve been restored back to normal eventually, we should take that as canon that it’s a reversible condition.

And putting Cozy Glow in Tartarus in the first place, is a big issue.

So she’d basically be the pony version of Baby Doll from Batman: The Animated Series? Actually an adult, but stuck looking like a little filly?
 
I totally buy that. Not only would it make sense, it would explain away some of the other issues, like why we never see her parents or anything like that.
 
Come to think of it, she even has the same kind of hair style as Baby Doll. It kind of makes me wonder if that was one of the inspirations for the character.

Has Vogel ever heard of a little something called ‘child abuse’? I know the villains did it to Spike but he’s most likely a teenager by now! Just a very small one. Cozy Glow definitely looks and acts younger (aside from the evil laughter).

Vogel did state the petrification spell was reversible. So hopefully the comics will unfreeze the Mean 3 and get them to legit reform. Maybe a Stone time-out will chill them out a bit like it Did Discord. That is to say I doubt they’d ever become good guys Perse, but I could see them at least being more chaotic neutral skin to discord.
 
Cozy being a child though still has the most chance to grow and learn over time meaning she could legit reform if any pony had the time/patience to work with her.

exactly this. Discord’s comment was basically a jab at the fact that the Triad was constantly bickering and at each other’s throats, so being forced to be together for the indefinite future is a karmic and ironic fate for them.
 
 
Discord’s not a hypocrite for chastising Celestia for turning ponies to stone [and that was not a redeeming thing about him]…when he said that it was clearly out of bitter anger. like “how dare this impudent goody two shoes ruin my fun and steal my throne”

Again, it’s Discord. God of chaos, Mr “fuck the rules I am chaos incarnate”. Don’t want to be rude, but I feel that you guys don’t like the petrification because you assume the worst in all instances, calling it grimdark and stuff, when, you know, this be a show about unicorns, rainbows, friendship and generally all things pink and cute.
If you gave the ponies just the most basic benefit of the doubt, for exemple assuming that they are planning to try and reform them one at a time of something, you wouldn’t have this much of a reaction to it. Don’t let the grimmdark route become your default view, that’s a sure way to ruin everything for yourself.
 
…remember back when Return of Harmony Part 1 first aired and people treated Discord like this dark Joker-level depraved scary villain just because up to that point, the show hadn’t really gone to any truly dark places? xD
