The comic is for everyone when it gets praise. It’s only for kids and you’re a terrible adult for ruining kid’s fun when it gets criticism.
 
Yes, I know the show staff did this once or twice but IDW does it all the time.

Gotta love when self-righteousness gets in the way of common sense and logic, we end up seeing that kind of effortless BS repeated ad nauseam simply because they think they have the moral high ground no matter what, and thus are allowed to dismiss anyone with a different opinion as dehumanized, “hateful” filth.

Welp, good enough for me. 2017 will be about Discord, but not his origins, thank goodness.

Well, I doubt the entire year’s comics will be about Discord. Probably one of the major story arcs, maybe some Friends Forever issues too.

Some questions aren’t meant to be answered.

I suppose the question of whether Discord needs an origin story depends on whether you interpret “spirit of chaos” to mean that Discord is the personification of chaos.

Regarding the GoH comics, don’t expect them this year. IDW said they can’t say anything.

I could have sworn I read that Guardians of Harmony is slated for a fall release.

November issues have yet to be announced. Could be coming out then, and that’s why they can’t say yet: they have to wait until it is time to announce November issues.
 
Alternatively, Hasbro has decided not to announce them 3 months in advance like other MLP comics.

In that case it could have been delayed by a just a few months.
 
Or, this whole time we misunderstood the “fall release”, and it was only referring to the launch of the toyline in September and not the comics.
 
(And if they are pack-in comics, they would probably be in the second wave of toys, because the current pre-orders don’t say anything about comics in the toys)

Well I’m pretty sure IDW aren’t the ones who pitched Guardians of Harmony as a spinoff.
 
Hasbro comes up with toyline, tells IDW they will make comics for it. A year later they come out. Seems pretty normal to me.

I guess they heard about it at the same time that we did. I suppose that they haven’t done the art for them yet.

It doesn’t make sense to me not to release promotional comics before or at the same time as what they are promoting but corporate people think in strange ways. I’ll assume FE4D is right about the comics coming with the second wave of toys.

Toys usually come out a few months before the media.
