So was that Keating Roger’s concept back before she and Larson switched? Someone likes her Doctor Who. But as nice as this would be as a regular ep concept, I think Larson’s manic one served better as a 100th.
 
And the second part is interesting - both the small hints (Starlight was supposed to “lose” her hometown?)and how they completely inverted the last part, perhaps after realising it’s unfortunate implications. (I wonder if making the School leads non-ponies had been decided at this point?)

I mean, 9 seasons and all mentions of them are past tense, and they don’t seem to be reachable in the slightest… because they’re dead.

“Growing Up Is Hard To Do” should have been the finale. It’s a perfect episode and The CMC’s getting the spotlight at the end would have been amazing. And it would have fit so well with the show. Esp since many in the fanbase had literally(1) grown up with the show. That’s the best ep from S9, and it’s not close.

Going through the leaks, it was clear quite a few of the staff shipped them and they wanted the two to do a lot more together, a lot of cut content and revised episodes had them doing a lot more together(In S6 alone, early versions of Saddle Row, AJ’s Day Off and 28 Pranks Later had them doing a lot of things together). I don’t know what happened, either someone chickened out, or most likely someone higher up didn’t like the two together(Haber considered Rarity and AJ his favorite duo, which might explain why they did more together as time when on). If they wanted to make them a pair, at the very least they shouldn’t have made the last episode they shared Non Compete Clause :/

Another unused Derpy concept was that she’s a focal point on the multiverse so she exists in all realities at once, and her crossed eyes, impossible feats and clumsiness are just the result of Derpy seeing everything at once, existing everywhere at once and trying to interact with things that aren’t there yet.  
Derpy being the Doctor’s sister means she’s a Time Lord as well, so I don’t know how the fandom would have reacted to that. (Also the Doctor’s final line to Roseluck doesn’t really works because that’s a 9th Doctor line, and Doctor Hooves is a Tenth Doctor expy)

Yeah, I know of the first one, would have been kind of interesting, to say the least.
 
I imagine the fandom would feel a little awkward about that, since that would make all ship related stuff between them incest, not that it would stop some people, that is.

Knowing some people the way I got to know them through the years, they would have been happy because that would have made it hotter, according to the things they say all the time.
 
Also the gag with the different Doctor outfits would have enraged BBC.

It would have, which is why I can see why they didn’t go with this, as fun as the idea for the episode sounded.

Sometimes, what’s surprising is what isn’t in them.
 
I mean, I always knew Luna and the Elements being last-minute additions was just a theory, so that didn’t shake me to bad. But Equestria Girls pony side being set in the Crystal Empire since the beggining? What’s with all the clues that point to Canterlot, then?

I just found audio clips of what appears to be the voice actors saying very naughty things in-character in the recording booth, but the audio quality is not very good, so I can’t confirm if they’re real.
 
Edit: I found some other ones that are in very good audio quality!!! The VAs clearly have a very good sense of humor about themselves just like the DBZ actors did. I hope they don’t get cancelled for this, because this shit is hilarious!!!!

I can’t share the link, but if you have the full leak, these files are newly added and are under “Flash Episode Leaks.” Select “audio” after that and then you can listen to the entire record sessions.
 
Most of it isn’t dirty, but you can find the inappropriate highlights that people edited together if you look for it, but I can’t link those either.
