Lots of people made her and her subjects a corrupted Queen Rosedust and the rest of the Flutterponies in their headcanons. Given how buglike Flutterponies were already, I kind of liked that one.

I liked her being the first Changeling too. I didn’t like that carnivorous plant thing the comics brought up at first because I wanted there to be other Changeling hives but the more I thought about it, the more it grew on me and I ended up liking it. I thought to myself that since that event happened such a long time ago, who’s to say that some of Chrysalis’ descendants didn’t branch off (and maybe even mutate) and formed their own colonies? Sounds possible to me.

I’ve always headcanoned there being multiple hives, and that only one ever became changedlings. Helps me be less mad about them existing if I can just ignore them. :P

I like to think the same as well but not to get angry over the Changedlings. Mostly just because I liked the idea of other hives in general and thought that maybe some of them had their own unique niches, habits, and even possibly diets.

Changelings at least allow easy headcanons to justify things or get creative with them. It would be absurd to assume that /all/ changelings were from one hive ever and all of them just to happened to be there to change all at once.

Oh yeah. Kind of like with ponies having a whole bunch of different families (or real world insects having many different colonies). That’s why I liked the idea of other hives. Plus I love looking at fanon hives and Queens so much.

I like the idea of changelings being corrupted flutterponies. Of course that is non canon now. Buuuut I still like it.

I didn’t realize how good it would be to get back into ship fics. This one is everything I want.

Asking out of curiosity even if the probability is small. Is there any character in my next gen universe that anyone would like me to pay more attention to or draw more of?

I think what Chrys means is that she has a unique color scheme rather than one of the six or so the other changelings have, plus that fin on her head.
 
I don’t think it’s necessarily that much of an issue, myself – as I see it, it’s like how pony characters with supporting speaking roles or above have more unique and elaborate designs than the background ponies do.
