Like they see them and immediately go into hysterics saying “why didn’t they do it like this?!” and just whine nonstop about how they didn’t go through so and so route because of what was leaked. I get being disappointed and upset that sometying didn’t pan out and that they had an idea which sounded great but didn’t go through with it, but ever since these data leaks and all that, a bunch of hissy fits have been getting thrown because of it and it’s just annoying for those who don’t want to be involved in it.

I see… This would probably explain why GUIHTD got almost nothing but CMC porn for a month, it was the only one that didn’t generate enough controversy to sustain a hate-base. Although Daring Doubt has less fanart (and was written in direct contradiction to the finale despite both being written by the same person…)

If they’re alive and were shitty, they wouldn’t care about her fate probably (“shitty parents” probably isn’t the case, if I had to guess). If they were good parents, they couldn’t stop her from turning out the way she did, and I don’t think they can change anyone’s mind if they’re deadset on not releasing her, on account of the characters being attempted murder victims, and that’s after what happened in S8.
 
And if they’re dead, they’re dead.

I like to headcanon that they’re dead. She was carrying a pony skull around with her after all.

My headcanon is that Cozy Glow has only one parent: Grogar. As for her being ‘tricked’ by fake Grogar, she wasn’t. She just pretended to be. Like she’s good at pretending many other things.

My headcanon is that she was already a problem foal beforehand and her parents sent her to the School of Friendship hoping that studying under Twilight would fix her (in fact, i think that most of the School of Friendship foals got sent there for the exact same reason). But studying under a Princess only made her even more ambitious than before.

My headcanon is that she was insisted upon itself

The epilogue never locked off anything, if anything, it actually created quite a few more roads to explore.

The epilogue permanently locked all roads about a future where the mane6 started families and had children of their own.  
Otherwise it would have been shown.

That is one of many valid interpretations.
 
A more realistic one is they only had so much time to delve into personal relationships, so they chose to show a few fan-favorites while leaving others nebulous.

I wouldn’t say “permanently.” Even if they’re fairly old, it’s still possible for the mane six to have families and children, but yeah, I’m genuinely annoyed that Pinkie is the only one who ended up with a child.

I choose to believe they had spouses/families offscreen because five of the six still being single in middle age is too depressing.
 
I would have rather had a three part finale than The Last Problem tacked on as the final episode.

Damn, it’s been about a month since the end and it still feels wrong typing that.

Why is them not having families “depressing”? Why is having children apparently the only way a person can achieve happiness? I remember one of the criticisms Harry Potter’s ending got was that it was TOO focused on giving everyone a family and pairing everyone off.
 
Plus, they seem to be in their 40s, which isn’t too late to have a child
