Great episode, Probably the best out of this season ^^

I can kinda tell the cast wrote this. It’s got the infectious fun of a bunch of good friends around a table over a couple of drinks, just throwing out crazy ideas.

Question is, is her character arc mostly done? Not to say there’s nothing interesting you can do, but she seems to be well-adjusted for the most part.

This is a reference to Disney’s Hercules. It’s a nice throwback to the greek mythology that pegasi originate from.

It kind of makes me wonder if the cast themselves even like her all that much, which is weird to think about. You’d think they’d have given her a more prominent role in their special episode if they were fond of her, like how I go out of my way to muscle monster ponies into most of my artwork :D

I never thought I’d say this about that jerk of all ponies, but he kind of got screwed. All the guards boofed their jobs and abandoned their posts because of obvious distractions, but only he got punished. Maybe he was already on his last chance or something :P

Honestly, this is the last chance I give to the fandom to recover from the TWABA mess. If the combo Best Gift Ever + The Beginning of the End + Sparkle’s Seven won’t be enough to make tose morons who ditched the Mane 6 over an off-screen kidnapping snapping out of it and remember who the pulsing cores of the show ACTUALLY are, I’m just throwing the towel on this bullshit…. I just hope that the series finale won’t be panned for focusing on the Mane 6 like it would supposed to be…

First Rainbow Dash noticed Celestia and Luna never do anything, now she’s calling people out on obviously reconning their backstory?

I’d guess that Twilight cares the most about Starlight, compared to how the rest of her friends feel about her. Not saying she’s Twilight’s best friend, or that the others just tolerate her at best, but Twilight always did see herself in her.
 
Plus, as Philweasel said, this wasn’t her story, especially since her voice actress wasn’t around from the very beginning. Getting an explained absence for the rest of the episode is pretty good with that in mind.
