What exactly stopped the Everfree Forest from overtaking Ponyville? The Mane 6 was fighting it for hours until they left Celestia, Luna and Starswirl to fight it back. We never got an explanation for why it stopped and when asked about it in Uprooted, Spike just says that they “got it under control”.Did they just leave Starswirl to continuously fight the forest or what?

Starswirl made the tree of harmony. With Celestia and Luna on hand I’m sure he could handle it. He outright said he could, just that it would take time.

I wouldn’t go that far, though it might break into my top twenty. A highly respectable pinnacle at this point.
I don’t think it was quite as funny or charming as “The Saddle Row Review”, with which it had a lot in common. But still a very enjoyable episode, and brings the show four for four on episodes I’ve really liked.

I always kinda assume Starswirl was nigh on immortal. He’s a archmage, who knows time magic, and is based on Gandalf. I doubt he’s keeling over anytime soon.
