I didn’t read the last few pages, was there new discussion about Rainbow’s sexuality due to the “Rarity made her flirt with Zephyr” scene?

My takeaway from it was as follows:
 
It doesn’t matter if you headcanon Rainbow Dash as bi (what I’d go with), straight, or a lesbian.
 
She. Doesn’t. Like. Zephyr.
 
I’d hope gender was irrelevant here.

Didn’t you know? This show is 99% about romances and love triangles, rectangles, even decagons.
 
Definitely not about something as boring as friendship.
 
…That would be a horrible version of the show, wouldn’t it?
 
Answer is probably because people like to overthink things, and some confirmation bias maybe, in the case of someone who might say “Ermahgerd! Not liking Zephyr is 100% proof she’s not straight you goiz!”

Being that it’s aimed at kids, they have to be clever enough so that even the parents won’t notice anything off

Main point is though, people do have a tendency to interpret things in a way that supports their view on something.
 
Someone who might hypothetically think something along the lines of that Zephyr example? They almost certainly already believed that position, and their bias may reinforce it.

Well, I finally watched the lastest episode despite that horrible stuff tacked at it’s beginning.  
It was OK.

Yeah that sounds about right.
 
It’s also funny about the overanalysis considering that the show isn’t some deep imemersive show like say Adventure Time, Steven Universe or Gravity Falls, which as far as I know thrive on deep lore.

Also, that scene where filly Twilight is shown to have great pottery skills ticked me off- since season 01 we have known she has zero skills and zero dextery for any kind of artistic and crafting things.

The only instance of Twilight being bad at crafting I can recall is her making a bird’s nest, tbh.

It was literally three lines of dialogue, first to invite exposition, as an outsider, second to briefly comment on said exposition, third as her send off for the episode.
 
Four non-lengthy sentences in total, according to the transcript.
 
Then again, a few people have gotten frustrated with mere non-speaking roles (appearances) of her before, haven’t they?
