Its still just a headcanon theory. The most obvious message is that Fluttershy told Angel that she want to marry him and this is what Angel knows about her beside taking care of animals or being shy. Which is why people made a commotion out of this.

The Fluttershy episode was just “Angel being a douche in FS’s body” and it was bloody glorious

Is Grogar gonna get an episode centered around him primarily, while not actively antagonizing the Mane Six, or something?

Okay, so while I’m sold on the theory Grogar has power over discord because he created him, i wonder how such a thing could be exploited in the final episodes.
 
Would it be like genie and jafar?
 
Or would he just take away his powers and separate him into his base creatures?

Any more episode titles and summaries yet? I have the spoiler tags for the remaining 8 episodes completely hidden now, so I can’t exactly check any of the other tags where I would find them.

China will probably release the episodes before Hasbro even puts out the synopsises.

I gotta say: episode 17 made me retroactively appreciating episode 16 more. Initially I liked ep 16 as guilty pleasure because the fun factor, but Twilight was effectively quite exaggerated in it, but after episode 17, I fully understand why they did that. Episode 17 was the step up for Twilight’s character, from now on we won’t see her freaking out for the rest of the show. Writers knew that, and they wanted to have fun with the character with one last big freakout, one closer to the style of the one that started it all (Lesson Zero), before the big step up of the character. Seen under this point of view, I now enjoy episode 16 more than I did before.

Well, in any case, there were around three Pillars episodes in S7, so maybe there will be a third villains episode in S9, outside of the finale?

My question is why Twilight had to be written that way at all in Trivial Pursuit. Development can be shown in ways that don’t require exaggeration to that degree, especially as Twilight freaking out over every little thing has been done to death already this season, let alone throughout the course of the show. This is supposed to be the pony who, with her friends, will inherit ruling the land from the Royal Sisters?
 
Then there’s the classic “show, don’t tell” trap the episode fell into, with Discord repeatedly mentioning Twilight’s supposed character growth, even though she’s had to learn not to freak out repeatedly. But this time it really stuck, Pinkie promise.
 
My point being, if you can only appreciate an episode through the lens of another episode, is it really fair to say you actually enjoyed it?

This comes right off the heels of Rainbow Dash being dragged through her worst nightmare because of Twilight believing it to be what “she needed” and not one, not two but three episodes that laid on thick just how neurotic she still it, so… I guess… they figured they could just drag her through hell and make her come out as having undergone a trial by fire of sorts? :/
 
(And how fitting it is for Discord to be the one lampshading the extreme disconnect Twilight went through after she ended up doing the same for Rainbow).
 
Extreme whiplashes in character development certainly is a thing S9 will be known for.

rumor: there might be a 27th episode in Season 9 joking
