Frenemies was quite great. The rest depends of each one’s preferences.

Right now there’s only one episode I don’t like - 2, 4, 6 Greeeat!

Of course the episode had its perks - like the cheerleaders, the Student 3, Celestia’s Royal Canterlot Voice, and Snips and Snails! But still a pretty boring story overall and poorly executed.

I agree with people putting Season 3 last. That season is utter trash!!!

I think MMC is great, on it’s own merits. It’s effect on the show can be debated, but as an episode it’s slickly written and has some great songs.

The songs are good, but it’s way too rushed and what the conflict actually is was never even made clear. Do the Mane Six still have their memories when the Cutie Marks are swapped or do they now think that this has always been their destiny? That kinda matters for telling a coherent story.

Despite it’s flaws I honestly liked MMC for what it is, and all of it’s issues were things entirely out of it’s control. Had Larson got to make the episode he wanted it’d definitely be more appreciated. As for the changes to the status quo, I’d say it was for the better honestly S4 and 5 are still some of the show’s best, and anything wrong that’s happened(like the School) were changes made long after the fact, besides there are status quo episodes much worse than MMC
