Isn’t it true this season was initially 13 episodes, but they were greenlit for more?

That’s what I thought, too. I guess they wanted to do the bucket list, so we can assume that the finale took the place of Sparkle’s Seven Common Ground and Going to Seed. The Summer Sun Setback and The Big Mac Question were probably also in the first half, as they seem to be arc episodes. Maybe the finale was meant to be an extra 1-hour special tacked on to the end, but that became Rainbow Roadtrip, and the rest of the season was only started this year. Actually, that explains a lot. We can only wait until November, then see if the staff can answer that question…

I miss Thorax. For a character who was important in season 6 and appeared alot in season 7, he’s been quite neglected lately. I miss his interactions with Spike the most! But nowadays he’s just “the leader figure”, like Celestia was in the earlier seasons.

one of the very few episodes that actually feels justified in S9

I still feel like they sorta killed the joke with Twilight in this episode with how much they kept having her go nuts in this episode.
