He was legendary enough for Tirek to know about him and his escapades. That wasn’t fake. So Grogar was real and was powerful and was really defeated by Gusty the Great. Even with just that knowledge I don’t see why him being immortal would be out of the question.

The longer I think about this the more I get upset, entirely based around Discord and the other villains.

Well, at least there’s a silver lining on this: G4 is over, so they can’t keep screwing things up anymore. It’s definitely not the Gen wrap I expected when I began watching the series back on 2010, but knowing they can’t screw things up any further is a small consolation prize that I’m willing to accept.

Sombra and Tirek’s biggest mistake was not romancing one of the Mane Six, they would be allowed to do whatever they want after

It really does suck seeing my favorite character fucked over again three years later…at the final stretch.

I’ll be honest, there’s possibly another reason why I’m so sad to see FIM end. I can remember getting into it a mere 3 weeks after it first aired. I had just turned 21 and was going through a rough patch, and FIM and the people I met through it helped me get through that time. I did manage it finish college and I felt like I could do anything.
 
Fast forward to now, and I’m nearly 30, and I’m starting to feel like my best years are behind me. And the show ending is reminding me of that…plus, the idea that we’ll never see pinkie and twilight and fluttershy ever again (in this guise at least) is tough to bare.
 
I’m sorry, but this has been building up for a while now and I can’t talk to anyone in real life about it (no one knows I like this show. It’s my biggest secret).

Grogar’s lair was portrayed on a map in Between Dark and Dawn. If the ponies knew it was there, you’d think someone would have explored it by now, or tried. So they probably did.
