In general, This Starlight thread and I understand there are people who are 100% haters, 50% , 10% (like me) and even 1% (The hasdrones according to some users here). But I don’t soft my language cause some people feel hurt if we only talk about a cartoon character, not a style life or a belief. So I could continue until G5, baby.

Her reaction to Trixie in that picture is adorable, but I also love that shot of Twilight’s “I am utterly at peace just sitting here with you” expression, while Starlight doesn’t seem to know how to handle all the love she’s getting.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; NOTHING will convince me that Starlight has changed at all. She’ll always be the criminal that got away, the one that ruined lives with her magic before AND after being added to the main cast.

If that truly is the case, then you don’t really have anything to gain from debating/discussing/talking about her. If there’s no room for your opinion on her to change, then the best thing to be done is to leave things as they are and move on to greener pastures.

What do you expect from a fandom that favors and gives excuses for characters like Tempest Shadow, Nightmare Moon, Chrysalis and Luna while at the same time they demonize characters like Celestia and partly Cadance, treating them with hostility?  
Don’t waste your “breath”, this fandom is weird.

This should be a good scene and message, it really should.
 
But they made two crucial mistakes that spoil it for me.
 
Everyone else had to fail before Starlight could swoop in and give the obvious answer(the reality of which cripples the episode’s conflict from the start), and this is another ‘student teaches the teacher’ thing that I really think they’re starting to abuse. It’s no secret Twilight’s sucks ass at her job, but giving her a cheerleader with the sole responsibility of constantly saying she isn’t and to buck the fuck up is getting old fast.
 
There comes a point where the master is revealed to never be a master at all. And scenes like this just aggravate it closer.
 
And then maybe six episodes later Starlight is bad at settling relationships for a bit again.
 
It’s all so bothersome.

I wonder what it’s like being a Starlight fan.

But her antics continue everywhere in the franchise unabated, so they can’t be too mussed about it.

I’m genuinely curious. The only real problem they face is a chunk of the fandom thinking their favorite is ass. Starlight is fucking living it up in the show however. My favorite characters have the short end of the stick.
 
Sunset is stuck in limbo.  
Trixie is only relevant when Starlight is around.  
Do I need to get into Chrysalis again?
