Starlight Glimmer- What is the opinion of her still?

She wouldn’t. I can’t recall her ever being happy or sarcastic about people being angry at her. It always angers or upsets her.

She is occasionally sarcastic, but it’s always very passive aggressive, bitter sarcasm.
 
In fact one of her worst traits is her inability to take criticism, even when it’s warranted she often flies off the handle when people lecture her. She’s got better at this, fortunately (though Discord proved why you shouldn’t push her).

No, that definitely exists. I think I used the wrong word when I said sarcasm. I mean, like, there’s a picture I saw once of Starlight looking smug in response to comments calling her a mary sue or whatever. That kind of confidence to make sarcastic remarks while letting criticism roll off her back. That’s not Starlight.

Hell no. She wishes, though if she had that she wouldn’t have become a villain in the first place. Her whole evil motivation was kinda “Screw your friendship, it’s lame and… dumb! I’ll make a new, better friendship, with cookies and sparkles, and you’ll all learn not to make fun of me!”
 
Trixie has got that kinda confidence, and I think it’s one of the things Starlight admires about her. Honestly I don’t she she realizes it’s more acclimatization to trauma than legitimate self worth.

To be fair with her and Discord, it probably wasn’t just him insulting her that caused her to snap there, as her “friend”, but also him making it clear he was screwing with everyone for the sake of his ego. Not denying that the insult was a factor though.

I’m amazed it took me this long to realize what Starlight’s biggest problem is; she overreacts to everything and has never once learned to go at things at speeds slower than a train.

Indeed. I diagnosed her with Borderline Personality Disorder years ago, which is marked by:
 
You feel very worried about people abandoning you, and would do anything to stop that happening.  
You have very intense emotions that last from a few hours to a few days and can change quickly (for example, from feeling very happy and confident to suddenly feeling low and sad).  
You don’t have a strong sense of who you are, and it can change significantly depending on who you’re with.  
You find it very hard to make and keep stable relationships.  
You feel empty a lot of the time.  
You act impulsively and do things that could harm you (such as binge eating, using drugs or driving dangerously).  
You have very intense feelings of anger, which are really difficult to control.  
When very stressed, you may also experience paranoia or dissociation.
 
She exhibits pretty much all of these. Funnily enough Twilight’s apprenticeship is pretty much Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is the recommended treatment.
