The Final Episode.

What do you think it will be? When do you think it will happen? What plot would you like to see in it? Will it be something massively epic, or quiet and reflective? Or maybe something else entirely?

I’m sure they will try to make it as big as possible, as a way of thanking the massive fanbase for all of the support.

I don’t know what the final episode will be about, but I know the final scene will create lots of scene interpretations.

The last time they wrote an episode for the sake of ending the series, it ended up being remade by a novice writer so that the series would continue past S3, with all the damage that caused.
 
I’d rather have it end the way it always has so far: open-ended so that another season can happen… even if it doesn’t.

I would like the final episode to Evangelion level WTF and leave us with more questions than answers.

I’m of two minds about it. On the one hand, I’d love to see some kind of massive, four part episode that (just for that final episode) brought back some of the fandom’s favorite writers in a combined story. A grand and exciting adventure, filled with answers and callbacks and little character moments we’ve always wanted and maybe a final scene where, a thousand years later, the stories of the 6 friends who became the elements of harmony are still remembered and loved.
 
On the other hand, there’s a part of me that thinks simplicity would be nice as well. No world saving… just a quiet day with good friends that touches on every part of the long journey we’ve all taken over these past years.
 
There’s also a part of me that would be greatly amused if the writing and production team decided to troll us and, in the last 30 seconds of the final episode, had Lyra and Bon Bon show up and just start making out. But that’s entirely unrelated to what I’d like to see for a series finale.
 
I do kind of like the idea of an ending in the distant future where the mane 6 are legends. I have this mental image of them closing a book in homage to the first episode, and then have it turn out to be something an adult version of Spike is reading to a school age group of fillies and colts.

Towards the end of Part 1, Twilight activates a portal to another dimension. We see a montage that confirms some episodes (Like Owl’s Well That Ends Well and Honest Apple) while jossing others (Like One Bad Apple and Bloom & Gloom), then the Mane 6 jump in. Cue Part 2.
 
Part 2 is mostly Twilight fighting:  
-Garland, an oni warlock sealed in the Alicorn Amulet  
-Timothy, a bunyip king sealed in the vase Fluttershy once kicked in anger  
-Draco, a half-pony half-dragon necromancer sealed in a Switch game card  
-Gary, a mountain chicken stage performer sealed in (an illusion resembling) Babs Seed (Who is voiced by Rebecca Honig (using her Cream voice) and has Ruby Pinch’s cutie mark)  
-Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmnckssqlbb11116 (Pronounced “Albin”), a netch insurance salesman sealed in Strawberry Parchment’s shampoo  
At the end, Twilight dies, Starlight becomes an alicorn, Octavia a unicorn, and Hoity Toity a pegasus, The CMC go off on an adventure (setting up a possible spinoff), Lyra and Bonbon make out and Bow Hothoof crashes into a tree and dies horribly

I highly doubt it will be able to top the movie, especially on a TV budget. I hope the series ends with a sequel the the movie, but I’m not counting on it, nor do I expect it.

That’s not what happened.

If the shows end, I imagine it to end this way: In the last 5 minutes of the show, we catch up with the CMC now the Mane Six’s age, Captain Rainbow Dash of the Wonderbolts, Princess Twilight, ambassador Fluttershy to the creatures of the forest, Professional Party Planner Pinkie Pie, Spike (now an adult) telling fillies about his history with his friends and Rarity being the canterlot pony that she is and same old Applejack. We reach a tibute with flashbacks of the previous episode and we reach the clouds and the screen goes black with a fond farewell song playing. Cut to a distant epilogue where an elderly Twilight (or a same-aged Twilight, is anybody even really sure if Twilight’s Princess status gives her immortality?) writes the final words of her autobiography/scrapbook, titled Friendship Is Magic. The end.

I’d expect it would have something to do with a big adventure and then they all turn into alicorns or something since it’s the end and they don’t have to worry about how that would affect anything going forward.
