i’m still not sure how blueblood was the bad guy in that episode. he’s a jerk, yeah, but 100% of his jerkiness was brought on by rarity sinking her claws into him and refusing to let go until she managed to bleed off some of his fame and money. i’m not saying he was being a jerk intentionally to chase off such a bloodsucking succubus (though i greatly appreciate the alternate interpretation), but all of his jerk-assery was brought on by rarity’s stubborn refusal to walk away. he would not have done a single thing wrong in that episode had rarity not approached him, and all of his wrong-doing would have ceased the second rarity decided his wallet / social standing wasn’t worth it and walked away.
what i’m saying is that, no matter how i slice it, i see rarity as the bad guy not him. i guess we can chalk it up to that odd season 1 thing where doing anything remotely negative to the main characters made you an irredeemable villain regardless of circumstances or what the mane six did to bring it on.
