If Autumn Blaze co-stared a show with Pinkie, what would happen?

Very late on this, but Season 6 was when I almost quit the watching the show. The quality of it at the time wasn’t what I expected it so I dropped off the show and even the fandom for a couple of months before deciding on coming back and giving it another shot. To Where & Back Again was what pretty much convinced me to stay.

I was about ready to give up on the show myself, if it wasn’t for the episode Perfect Pear, which I enjoyed so much I decided to stick with it… though admittedly I still have like a season to catch up on.

The Kirin Queen shouldn’t have been as big as she was

I feel bad saying this… but I’m actually glad the show is over. Any longer and it may well have gone the way of SpongeBob Squarepants or The Simpsons.
 
Now that the show is over, fans can focus on creating their own content, and not have to worry about the show messing up their headcanons or other such things.
 
Where I feel that we have plenty to work with to go wild and have fun, allow our own creativity to flow and explain on the lore and details provided to us.

I’d say I found there to be more bud episodes in later seasons then earlier ones. Writing choices that I disagreed with or was disappointed in.
 
Yet maybe I wasn’t simply dismissing things that bother me or I disagreed more, less forgiving of and more critical… I will end by saying that I still very much love the show despite such things.

I still enjoyed seasons 8 and 9, but dud episodes seem to be a lot more common than there were in past seasons.

i hope the show gets picked up for syndication on different channels or something. i feel like the hub and discovery being extra pay channels handicap it.

That’s definitely a plus side. We have nine years of content, both from the show and from the comics (which IIRC believe will run for another year or so). There’s an even bigger wealth of stuff to add from previous generations, though only G1 is all that worthy (Catrina being a highly compatible figure.)

That’s basically what I say, where the fans can create their own theories and fanfictions to fill in the gaps for the show now that it ended.

I’m glad it’s over as well. As sad as I am to see it go, it was definitely time. The writing wasn’t really getting any better, and there were so many things I wanted to see that were just never going to happen (e.g. an AJ/Starlight episode).

Yeah, they wrapped it up pretty nicely, ended up a really high note, and I feel like everything came to a pretty logical conclusion. There’s only a very few loose ends here or there they could have touched on, like Spike’s origins or Scootaloo’s wings, and a few things that would have been cool to bring back once more, like the kirins or the black changelings, but there probably wasn’t enough there for a Season 10 without introducing more plot threads or story arcs and all those things were satisfying enough left as is :D

I just wish the last season had been of a higher quality - and the finale perhaps a touch less controversial.

I can definitely see why people maybe didn’t like some episodes, or even the entire season, but I can’t really think of anything objectively bad about the writing or quality of it or anything. As far as episodes I didn’t especially care for there was Uprooted, She’s All Yak, Student Counsel, Trivial Pursuit, and A Horse Shoe In, and I don’t think any of them were actually bad in terms of quality or anything. The closest thing to a writing flaw I can really think of is I seriously think Twilight should be beyond her behavior in Trivial Pursuit, and I don’t even think that’s a writing “flaw” so much as just something I’d have done differently: I would have everyone expecting her to act that way and her actually NOT do it, to show how she’d matured after nine seasons :D

Well, I’m glad that you enjoyed most of the season more than I did, then. (Though you’re imssing out if you think Student Counsel is weak.) To me, it mostly seemed to be worn out and gave very little satisfying conclusion to the series - though to be fair, that wasn’t always through lack of trying.

Admittedly I just never really cared about the Friendship School or the Student Six. Don’t confuse that with dislike: I’m just not really interested in the whole school setting and all. I’m actually thankful they crammed Starlight and the school together: it literally took all the little things I’d normally skip and put them together for ease of watching the rest. Like when they make bags of jellybeans that don’t have the black licorice ones in them so you don’t have to pick them out :P
 
Though, you got my attention. I’m curious what specifically you (or really anyone) thought was written badly or what could have been written better. I’m gonna go hit the shower but I’ll be back in like a half-hour, if you’re inclined to share :D

It’s interesting you bring up Trivial Pursuit, because Twilight’s behavior here contradicts what she says later. During the final few episodes she claims to have gotten beyond “Twilighting”. Well she obviously hasn’t, the little liar.
 
Of course, Trivial Pursuit didn’t have all of Equestria watching or its fate as the stakes, but yeah.
