Yeah, we've been talking a little about what auth methods to go ahead with. oAuth would be my preference, but we're also investigating supporting username/password login too.

No clue where exactly it's going, but making the API capable of doing everything the user-side of the site can do is a definite target (for app development reasons).
An Artist Who Rocks - 100+ images under their artist tag

Making features huggable
In my routine I only need it once to get the artist tags and save them, so it shouldn‘t be a noticeable overhead. The artist has to at least upload one picture here themselves, but who wants to link to derpibooru when they aren’t active here?

In general there are probably more use cases where someone wants to validate a profile ownership. But in that case a real oauth possibility would work better than a static api key.

You know, this is an odd question but just for fun, what weapons you WOULDN'T recommend. Call it because it's of very dubious quality, very awkward to use (even if you'd need to screw it up so badly to check this one) or just simply too impractical.

Anything 22LR. Pretty useless for self-defense unless you don't mind expending lots of ammmo. Good for hunting small prey, though.

Default search

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
