I am today years old when I learned Lexus is a luxury subsidary of Toyota rather than an EU or American brand.

If I were to have a dream supercar, it’s the LFA. The Whitney Houston of all automobile sounds.

I love how much of a gigachad the Honda NSX used to be. It thoroughly gave inspiration to the legendary Mclaren F1 because Gordon Murray absolutely loved what Honda has made.

Someone at Walmart said to me and my car (a 2012 Scion xB) “nice toaster!” Meant it as a compliment.

What’s with car brands (mostly luxury) banning/vetoing you from buying their products again after if you did something unpleasant or controversial to their cars?

I think they’ve completely discontinued the Grand Caravan brand. The only minivan they’re selling is the Pacifica.

Chrysler is pretty much a dead brand by now unfortunately.
Didn’t they move the Grand Caravan badge from Dodge to Chrysler a couple years ago?

It remains to be seen how much of an effect the strikes will have on the industry, but yes, it’s probably not going to make vehicles cheaper. Yet this situation where the average person can’t afford a new vehicle is not sustainable. Sooner or later something has to give.

The UAW is asking for a raise proportional to the increase in CEO pay. Seems fair to me.

This video really makes me want to own a Chrysler PT Cruiser just for fun.

the UAW strikes are’t going to make anything more affordable for the consumer, the UAW just wants more employee benefits. I recon the prices will increase even more. I am happy with my current car since everything right now is insanely expensive even though I am trying to find an affordable plug-in hybrid car

If you want a new truck or full size SUV in the US, you’re basically screwed. I hope the UAW brings pain to the Big Three with their strikes, because I’m tired of regular vehicles being unaffordable.

This is almost as bad as the new Land Rover Defender.

I built a new F-150 on Ford’s website with a few modest options: Supercrew cab, 4x4, basic paint color, Lariat (mid level trim), hybrid engine, tow package, and a spray in bedliner.

It came out to about $68,000. Christ, that’s ridiculous.

Talking about roads, it’s all a game of money and funding. Which is why we’re going to all rely on toll roads soon enough. My sis ended up going to Chicago and went through 3 toll highways was $10 with so many fees

China, currently living in the UK. And I have license in both countries.
In China our roads are the best in quality but absolutely terrible in planning, and people drive it like in third world, no discipline and everybody to themselves.
In the UK it’s the exact opposite, except in terms of road plannning, which is literally the meddlesome and stupid English bureaucracy projected to real life: claiming to improve, but overcomplicating the matters and thence achieving the exact opposite effects, making everyone miserable except the contractors. Then billions of tax money got wasted. And the country goes to shit. UK is an absolute disgrace to the global superpowers (by which I mean the 5 permanent members of the UN Security Council).

That’s where smart motorway comes in. But in the UK they only lowers it 1. to ease congestion and 2. at night “to improve air quality” (load of bs tbh).
Last month I drove to London in the biggest shower I’ve ever seen in the West Country. Water was piling up on the road. I had my fog lights on. Everyone was doing 50mph in a section. But the speed limit is still 70.
England’s highway agency is committed to make the road as dangerous as possible.

That’s not a bad idea, but it would be better if there were a common agreement that speed limits are suggestions that vary by road conditions.

If it’s raining hard, snowy, or otherwise unsafe? Slow down.
If the weather is fine and it’s an empty country road? Use your own discretion.
