Back in the days when 98/2000/xp were still the most popular OSs, my PC ran 2000, and I kept everything default - the only icons on the desktop were the defeat ones, default system tray, default light blue background, etc. I’ve gotten more than a few comments about that.

That is the other reason I don’t use desktop icons - they’ll always be covered anyway.

That’s currently how it works. I’m logged into my account from my PC, phone, work PC, and tablet all at the same time without issue.
 
Are you using anything to sync cookies between your mobile device and computer?

Yeah, I just generally prefer clean, simple interfaces. I don’t need any fancy login banners, or desktop icons, or anything like that.

I took them using a remote connection, but they look pretty much exactly the same.
 
Fun fact: “Luna” got her name because she’s an old IBM X-Series server. She’s black and blue and comparatively loud.

Probably a good time to revive this. If anyone still has the same wallpaper half a year later, they’re either boring, or have a very awesome wallpaper.

There’s no ban on his account. Most likely, he simply got an IP address from his ISP that was previously banned. As @zippysqrl said - restarting his router/modem should get him a new IP address and should fix that.
 
If not, the best way to contact the staff outside the site itself is by stopping by our IRC Channel - there’s always a few staff in there.

Usually if an artist disappears from DA, try checking their journal or latest images for clues. Her Journal on DA had a link to a Tumblr account, which redirected to an active one. Usually you can at least get an idea what happened from those sources.

Her Tumblr appears to be fairly active. She possibly just got fed up with DA and left for other sites.

I co-modded a very similar Tumblr for a while (with Dash as a submissive “pet” to Twilight), and never received any hate for it.

I’m not too inclined to agree with this one to be honest. The “logo” tags indicate the presence of the logo in a screenshot/fake screenshot, but do not necessarily mean the image is about The Hub/Discovery Family otherwise.

I have to disagree with (sloppy kissing-> questionable). It’s generally questionable at a minimum, but there’s enough tagged “explicit” to invalidate an implication.

All of these suggestions seem like they would be more appropriate as aliases instead of implications, mostly because they’re redundant and mean the exact same thing, and I foresee little demand for a distinction.

Well, not really, because no one would ever use it, but for the few of us who know what 2FA is, it would really reduce a ton of risk.

No one knows. They may be back, they may not. Though after this much time, it seems pretty unlikely. However, I have seen artists who were gone for longer re-appear out of the blue.

As Exedrus said, the site is based entirely in Europe. The primary server is in France, and the admins are in various countries.
 
I looked up the cases you referenced (though I didn’t find as much info on the third one, at least nothing that’s a summary and not 50+ pages of lawyer language), and it seemed like while the characters were being ripped off, other elements of the story were being ripped off as well. Copyright protection would extend to characters if they cover the “story being told” test: link
 
Another thing to consider too is those cases, the characters were ripped off without permission. That’s not the case when it comes to commissions/requests - if someone asks an artist to draw their OC, then the character is not being infringed - the artist is essentially granted full permission to copy and use the character for that image. And as noted in my earlier link - the copyright of a work for hire remains with the artist unless explicitly transferred.
 
So even if one of those circumstances occur where a character would be subjected to copyright instead of trademark law - no infringement would be occurring - the artist isn’t violating copyright as they had permission to use the OC for the image, and we aren’t violating copyright because the artist has control over the image, not the character’s owner.
 
Of course, in cases of impersonation, where someone claims to own an OC but in reality they don’t - those are extraordinary circumstances, and are judged on a case-by-case basis. It happened the other day - someone commissioned a picture of “their OC”, but then it was found out that the artist was tricked and the person who ordered the commission wasn’t the OC’s owner - we took that image down without request from the artist.

Sounds kinda like a hack to me. If they wanted everyone to unfollow, deleting the blog would be a lot simpler.
 
If both blogs are “secondary” blogs on Tumblr, it’s possible they had more than one Tumblr account linked to them, and one of those accounts got compromised. The same thing happened to the 30 Minute Challenge Tumblr last year - someone hacked one of the accounts that was an admin on that blog, and then mass-deleted a ton of posts.
