Also, I’m wondering something. Since DC is making a new TV show that ties into the Flash and Green Arrow called Black Lightning, I wonder if having a black characters and naming he something like “Black fire” or “Dark ice” would fly in this day and age.

Also, I’m reminded of the Punisher story where he gets his faced damaged by the Kingpin in prison, and he gets plastic surgery to become a black guy. He then teams up with Luke Cage to beat up drug dealers.

ah the “whatever comic age that takes place in”

So there is really dumb Superman comic where Lois Lane tries to get interviews with the black community of Metropolis (with the loving name of “Little Africa), and she can’t get the interviews because she is white, so she has Superman put her in a magic box to change her into a black woman, and then she gets a bunch of racist shit thrown at her.
 
And then she asks Superman if he would still love her even if she is a black woman, and he actually fucking hesitates to answer, and he hesitates so long until Lois ends up turning into a white girl again, and he never mentions that question again.

I know IM suits have a mode that can pump out insane power for a fraction of a second but even that would be useless if thor, herc and shulkie will be anticipating it.
