Unfortunately, I’ve found it among a lot of music channels who think they’re “enlightened” and “above nostalgia” when they are only able to mock other people’s nostalgia for the past and not able to look at their own childhoods in an objective sense.

There are certainly ways in which you can temper your nostalgia by critically analyzing things from your past, but I don’t think anyone can get rid of it entirely. (No, not even me.)

I find it ironic that music review channels mock boomers for their 1970s-80s nostalgia, when those channels are often run by ’90s kids who have no problem fangasming over that era, as if it wasn’t also incredibly flawed.

Alright, so half a month has passed since I sent my copyright dispute about the KISS video, and it’s looking like I’m probably going to have to confront the very real possibility that UMG will not only reject my copyright dispute, but will do so just days before August 1, just to piss me off.

Although, on Twitter I accidentally referred to them as “the Paul brothers” instead of the Abbott brothers, and now imagining a world in which Jake and Logan Paul toured with Pantera makes me cringe. XD

There actually is. The former are just stupid parodies that reference things for the sake of “humor” and nothing else while the latter manages to work them in a way to make it relevant to the stories.
IDK, have you seen some of those pop culture bukkake movies? Space Jam: A New Legacy in particular was more along the lines of referencing things because they exist, rather than having any relevance to the plot. Like Alex DeLarge having a cameo in it, or referencing Big Chungus.

A lot of them are just based around the humor of “Remember X?” and barely doing anything with it. The only difference I can think of is that pop culture bukkake films have the rights to use the characters instead of spoofing them with different names and designs.
