The owner of Fimfetch, which is a archive website for PonePaste was known for censoring specific stories for containing content that he disliked or found to contain “foalcon”. Although he often was lazy with taking down these stories, he spent most of his efforts making a lengthy list of users and usernames from Derpibooru, Ponebooru, Discord, Ponepaste, and other websites over the span of multiple years. Out of the users on the list, it includes artists who “by his own judgement” were found to have “made foalcon content”, users who “participated in foalcon servers” despite having never posted foalcon or having only said satire relating to foalcon, and completely unrelated users who the owner disliked for “saying naughty things”.

Obviously such list only gained traction when large pony discords starting basing their “blacklist” off of it, and banning otherwise innocent users from entering their server, saying reasons like “we don’t want to associate with you”, “your on the Fimfetch foalcon list”, “your on the MCL list” and etc.

Thankfully the private server that hosts this list got leaked, and the collaborators inside of it (multiple admins/moderators from different pony related discords) were found to have conspired towards “filtering through private reports” and “further expanding this blacklist”. Even though the list was intended for “foalcon” there are multiple users who got banned in one server for a offence not related to blatant paedophilia or grooming, and ended up on the list, including people and artists who had “foalcon” related content in their derpibooru favourites when the owner (revealed to be DataByte, who’s discord handle is “databytebrony”) was “independently examining” each report.

In DataByte’s server, the collaborators were outed to be as follows with their respective servers.

How do we earn the badge for this year’s April Fools joke?

waking up seems to be the most-used tag, at 1134 pictures.

waking seems to be the same thing, except that in a couple of cases it was a spelling error of “walking” instead. I’d either alias it to “waking up”, or just re-tag them all and leave it un-aliased to keep future typos from being as confusing.

awakening seems to be mostly used for “waking up”, and one or two cases of metaphorical “awakening” such as spiritual. Unless that seems like an important meaning to keep for the tag, I’d alias it to waking up.

awake seems to be a mix of “waking up” and “not being asleep when one might otherwise be” such as insomnia, noise/being bothered, or already woken up a while ago but still not gotten up. I would suggest un-tagging this from posts where you could use waking up instead.

awakened is only on two posts: one uses it like “waking up” except that it’s not just the normal end of sleep but caused by something (eg. noise), and the other uses it slightly metaphorically as in a dormant robot (not really “sleeping”). I might keep this one around for the meaning of “awakened (by something)”.

Thoughts?

P.S. woke should get defined as the social concept, not as the cessation of sleep.

I have a little question! What is the difference between the full nelson and frontbend tags?
At first I thought depending on whether sex is happening or not, but it is used in both cases.
If there is no difference, then can we combine them into full nelson?

I actually like having little ponies running around my screen based on the artist tag.

So…looks like for April Fool’s this year, someone accidentally let a bunch of desktop ponies loose on the site.

It seems like there can only be 3 of them per image, and they only show up when the pony they represent is tagged in the image (for example, the Twilight Sparkle desktop pony will only appear if the image has “twilight sparkle” in the tags).

Unfortunately, the exterminator hotline is out of service at the moment, so we’ll have to deal with these little pony pests flying around until they leave by themselves.

I’m not a moderator, so I don’t have all the info on this. I only know what I’ve seen for myself so far. Hopefully the mods can tell us more about this strange infestation as it progresses.
