And I keep pointing out that, for me at least, heels and asses aren’t the problem so much as the fact its Samus’s heels and ass. It isn’t in keeping with her character or the over all tone of the series.
 
If from the beginning it had been this silly hypersexualized ridiculous thing then there wouldn’t be a problem (although Other M would still blow goats, not even nice goats either, really ugly, smelly goats.)
 
In contrast Revengeance is ridiculous game in a series of fucking ridiculous games.

My problem with the people complaining about samus is that sure a guy being sexualized and wearing high heels and constantly staring at his ass that’s perfectly fine; talk about a double standard.

For Me, I never think of something as sexist until It either exhibits misogyny, Misandry, Or it does something that Blatantly goes against prior characterization

And again I can only respond with it depends on the art style. If the art is stylized enough and it fits with the tone, then I personally can’t really complain, but you are correct if the setting and style are at all going for realism or dignity such as in TES.
 
If I was playing something with a grindhouse, Conan the barbarian style to it I’d be pissed at the lack of boob armor on the other hand, because it would fit right in with all the other sleaze and grime.

. . . Okay stupid question time. . Why weren’t people complaining about raiden’s sexualization in revengeance?

Metal boobs would only get in the way. I can accept feminine features in armor, as long as they won’t hinder the user like high heels or steel boobs would.

It is an odd line to be sure. Personally I don’t care much for porn of her because a character she’s never really displayed much of sexuality that would make porn of her interesting, but that is just personal taste. Again I think it is more a matter of tone than of content, the tone of porn is very different from that of the games and what people want from the two is very different.

What TES (and fantasy games in general) really needs to get rid of is the ridiculous metal boobs on some of the female armor.

Samus is apparently supposed to be six foot one and weigh 200 pounds. That’s what’s in the Super Metroid manual.
 
I don’t give a shit about the story of Other M as much as the controls. Who the fuck made them and thought they were a good idea?

This is my argument against the heels. They do not fit thematically with Samus’s character. It would be one thing if she spent every game in that outfit, then it would still be silly but it would be thematically appropriate. When I think of Samus I think of her in her power armor, not in the zero suit. I don’t know why they’ve chosen to strip her of her iconic outfit and weapons, and I don’t care for it.
 
They are also obviously meant to be a feminine touch, which feels unnecessary considering that she is already wearing a skin tight body suit to show off her curves regardless of what the justification is (rocket boots I believe but don’t care to check) in which case it would be easy enough to redesign them not to look like high heels.
 
It is about what fits the character, not an individual article of clothing. Samus has never been a very feminine character despite being female, and has never been any lesser for it, and yet now someone seems determined to make her more lady like.
 
In addition this comes after her last game, which can be charitably described as a cluster fuck in which Team Ninja crippled her character for some half baked ideas about “motherhood” and other such garbage.
