Congratulations to Future, Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar for their second, first and second number ones respectively with βLike Whatβ. Futureβs second after βWait For Uβ, Metro Boominβs first ever number one hit and Kendrickβs second after βHumbleβ. For a diss track, it goes hard.

Iβve heard parts of it but never had time to listen to the whole thing in one sitting. Maybe if it was only an hour or two long instead of six hours I would have heard it all at once. Iβm not concerned about that album breaking me, although from what Iβve heard, it makes Pink Floyd, King Crimson, and Van Der Graaf Generatorβs darkest music all look like the most fun and happy music ever recorded in comparison.

Congratulations to Teddy Swims for his first ever number one hit with βLose Controlβ. The first soul song to hit number one since βNo Oneβ by Alicia Keys back in 2007, Iβm glad that new, up and coming artists can still get a chance to score a really big hit.

Thatβs the one thing Iβm still quite unsure of checking out. Iβm afraid of how much it might break me, to be honest

The last time Iβve ever listened and fully completed this album was in 2021 goes to show you that I donβt ever wanna listen to that album ever again. It literally fucked me up.

REO definitely look their age but still sound great. Take it on the Run sounded fantastic, and they belted out something from every era.
Rick actually put on a damn good show, many roses were splashed, and he actually had a pretty candid discussion about depression before transitioning into World Start Turning.
The opening band Iβd never heard before, Dauzat St. Marie. Honestly? Pretty dang good, I bought the LP on my way out. They played some orginal stuff, and then did a dang good cover of Laupers βTime After Timeβ

Has anyone ever managed to listen to all of Everywhere at the End of Time? Like everyone seems to know the first one but skipping around through the parts to the end, it just seems too heartbreaking and horrific. I canβt even imagine listening to this amnesia allegory for six freaking hours.

What matters is what youβre comfortable with, mate. :)
Music listening is a varied and time-honoured, not a superiority contest

Got a decently sized music collection myself, but I do like to stream music tooβ¦as long as I have a stable internet/data connection (though I usually have some playlists downloaded for offline use).

Got about 140GB on an external drive, with about 85 of that on my phone. I also have like 2 binders full of CDs (gotta mix it up a bit) in my car for my daily commute.

I still collect CDs and rip them all onto my computer in case my CDs get scratched or break. I do have vinyl but stopped collecting those since they arenβt made to last as long and they canβt be ripped as easily as CDs.

All my albums are studio albums. Iβm not the kind of person that only listens to a bandβs greatest hits, even with bands like Journey and Queen that are known more for their hit singles than their albums. I prefer listening to all of the songs and better understand what a band/artist really sounded like, because a lot of times, a bandβs biggest hit isnβt representative of their actual sound.
