STOP KOSA!
Rank and file Republicans are apparently getting tired of the Freedom Caucus and the MAGA crowd in the house. With some prominent Republicans blaming them for the continued failure of border legislation, big Dem wins, and the rancor that is starting to impact fundraising.Dems have barely had to lift a finger in the last few months, the Republican majority has done all the damage by repeatedly punching itself in the face.

U mad?
Poorly worded law bans computers
You need a 3D printer and a computer to make a ghost gun, so by saying the “technology” needed to make one, it includes those 2 items (and plans for guns aren’t illegal anyway). So yeah that pile of shit won’t get passed.

It’s what happens when over the course of decades you cultivate a core voter base that believes the other party is run by Satanic pedophile sex cultists.

Meanwhile, aside from Ted and Kev (who isn’t even running now) Dems occupy the top fundraising spots for Senate and House.

So this is what happens when the Republican party goes and destroys itself all because they wanted to win an election.

note according to the same poll biden actually leads trump outright if we include JFK jr. and two others into the mix.

The GQP in New Hampshire are now fighting to have polio vaccination non-mandatory.
Just in case you had forgotten whether the MAGA Death Cult were pro-disease or not.

If low propensity voters are no-show this year, then that actually might work out for Biden, since polls had Trump is doing (or did) the best with low turnout voters.

Murdoch-owned newspaper red-baiting a drug-addicted loon who loves fascists and hates commies? Shocker!
(FTR Stalin would’ve had Putin shot.)
Interest in the 2024 election is at a 20-year low according to a new poll. Call me crazy, but I don’t think low-propensity voters are going to matter at all this year.

Poison Trail
See, at first one would think that’s political suicide given how the Sedition Caucus is already hogging that motion to vacate threat and howling about it constantly.
Then you realize, the last Republican House member that resigned mentioned there being 4-5 more of his colleagues being sick and tired of MAGA having taken over their party.
It’s a possibility that Mike Johnson knows about and made a deal with them: if the motion to vacate passes, the House will truly be lost with no chance of another speaker being elected, so they might as well nuke Republican control of the House and hand it over to the functioning party.
Here comes Mike with the dead-man’s switch!

So apparently US Congress will soon consider the “Pro Codes Act” which will allow parts of law (building and safety codes) to be copyrighted.
Copyright laws are problematic in general, but this is on another level.

As written, the TikTok ban can only apply to companies based in China, Russia, Iran, or North Korea. (The bill cites a specific list from 10 U.S.C. 4872.) But Trump could use it to go after WeChat and generally make Tencent’s life hell.

And if Trump wins in November the Dems who voted for the ban will look like complete idiots when he starts using said powers to target outlets that are otherwise US friendly.
If Trump wins in November he’ll probably do that regardless of whether or not this ban goes through. The kind of guy who promises to be a dictator day one and thinks he should be able to silence anyone who says anything negative about him is not going to be restrained from targeting companies due to the existence or nonexistence of a law.
Also, if Trump wins in November, I think we’ll have substantially bigger things to worry about than TikTok.

I’m happy for Ukraine getting the aid and yet I also believe it’s not gonna do jack for them except lose a little less land than what they would’ve lost without it.
And barring a miracle result where Dems get their trifecta back this November, that’ll be the last aid package Ukraine gets for the foreseeable future.

The “TikTok ban” is a stealth Patriot Act 2.0; if a foreign company doesn’t bend over for US requests to hand over private user data, then they’re clearly a spy app and banned.
