@Ciaran
Seeing how many people filter a tag is still possible for staff, but getting a “top ten” would be through console (unless you just go tag by tag and do it manually…)

While not impossible, I have to say it’s decidedly unlikely we would implement an AI image specific badge before implementing ones to celebrate pencil drawings, watercolours, markers, digital art, vectors, crafts, photography, or others…

Seeing as you’re incapable of containing your rampant psychopathy, have a ban to spare everyone else suffering your nonsense.
Everyone else, please focus on the policy on this site and not ethics or laws or philosophical concerns we cannot attend to.

Attempting to pass off an AI generated image as anything but would, under this new policy, fall under Rule #2 for improper tagging. We can clarify that (but, not tonight, some wording back and forth would be needed). I have to note that it may be difficult (if not impossible) to always ascertain if someone is lying about these things, regardless of any rules or policy (outside of requiring every artist to provide raw source files…); some cases, of course, will be fairly obvious.
As for the requirement to tag prompters, this is simply for ease of tracking the 2/day limit. While it certainly won’t be the only thing tracked, it does set something that can be quickly and easily checked. It’s not intended to give any additional sense of credit or ownership over the image, I apologize if it came off like that.

Pure, simplicity’s sake, taking the short term that’s already used in common parlance. If we ever encounter an example of someone using, say, FSM AI to draw an image (by tracing agent movements across a board), we can figure out the exact name for that then and there. And no, we’re not interested in catching “old fashioned” procedural filters or pen-smoothing or the like into this.

@Maonyman
The wording there may have been confusing; staff try to avoid featuring the same artist multiple times, especially in succession, but there’s no hard rule against it. There’s absolutely not a rule against nominating the same artist (or image) more than once. Some staff change their nomination every round, others have the same one for months.

So I had to do a double take and this is actually an instance of two completely different anons landing on the same anon ID formula “result” (which determines the #blah and avatar), and not the same person replying to themselves. While this is far from rare (it’s 4 hex numbers, after all, on a site with several million posts/comments), the chances of both in one thread/comment section are very very small, and the chances of that and one after the other are hilariously miniscule.
You should buy some lottery tickets.

Giving a broad description of what the images are (in a report or PM if you prefer to not let others know) should be enough in most cases. Reuploading is fine, though you may find that the upload is blocked by exact-file matching, in which case you may have to edit the image (it’s enough to just resave the same file in most programs) or poke us.

There is no “double standard”, this isn’t a right vs left thing. This is about a concrete ideology that at its core promotes hatred, and murder. Nevermind that people keep saying that nazis are actually leftists because they have “socialist” in the name.

@Derwol
If you find images making light of the murder of Poles by the soviets, report them.

I am having trouble understanding why people are having trouble understanding this.

Communism is a socioeconomic theory that has been applied in one way or another throughout time but in itself does not call for the slaughter of people based on their genetics or sexual orientation. Nazism is a concrete ideology with racism and genocidal extermination as a core tenant.

For better or worse, most communist symbology is related only to the economic principals and does not imply “kill these people for their inherent traits”. That does not apply to nazi symbology.

If there are images related to communism, or any other ideology be it christianity, judaism, budhism, anarchism, etc., that promote genocide, mass murder, racism, or other such things, report them so we can be made aware of them.

Nazism is singled out because these negative traits are an elemental part of what it is. And unfortunately(?), the images relating to it are significantly more numerous than those related to other hateful ideologies; if pro-ISIS/Jihad images were a tenth as popular, then we’d also single them out my name. Fortunately, that’s not the case.

The person that manages the twitter account has been working crunch for the last two weeks in their “real life” job and is unlikely be manning it much at all beyond a few artwork reblogs.

Aside from that, twitter is a less than ideal platform for any sort of discussion or announcement. There will be an announcement on the site itself soon regarding the rules update; people can link to that on their own accounts if they wish.

Soviet and Chinese flavors of communism were failed ideologies that did not have “murder these specific groups of people based on inherent traits”. Images representing those ideologies are also exceedingly rare, and if any are uploaded that make fun of some massacre or similar, it’d be handled on its own.

@Background Pony #45A2
Given the images I’ve seen of them, most likely unaffected.

@Background Pony #6547
1443565 would be unaffected. In any case, this was a long time coming and the discussion about it began well before that “article”, or even before the matter of the most ongoing BLM protests, though all the recent hullabaloo has had an effect on the timeline.

@Zerowinger
Without going through the images, most likely unaffected as it’s just basic poses and uniforms (and of far more than just nazis).

If people want to discuss politics and the merits of certain political or social movements, there’s already a thread for that.

It’s going to depend on the image, but if an image is trying to make nazis or a nazi avatar/supporter look cute/funny, then it’s a nope. Yes, that is going to constitute the majority of the sort of images Aryanne is usually in by the nature of what she is and how she’s generally been used and portrayed.

As with most every rule changes, we don’t bulk delete existing content.

It was clarified that this sort of rule would last until a statement as simple as “black lives matter” would not be met with discussion or even disagreement; given how things have been going, that might need another century.

Eh, dunno. There are a lot of games where you’re still in tutorial mode past the first hour. Especially open world games; hell, I think Red Dead 2 was still tutorializing new features and locking important content out until like 5 hours in.

Plus stuff like Dark Souls, the games with “filters” and all that. I don’t think that many people would highlight DS1’s first area and boss as being all that fun and great, but the game’s damn good if you stick with it past that.

Default search

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
