Like I keep saying, you can’t censor information. Thanks to the Internet people will find out about Marxism. So would you rather they learn about Marxism through a bias source or an unbiased professsor who provides them with the truth.

Funny enough, we have to walk on egg shells for the conservative students as much as the liberal ones.
 
We’re told we can’t say anything bad about Trump, we have to be careful when pointing out issues like slavery as to not paint white people as the aggressors, and bringing up abortion and gay rights is handled very tricky.

I’ve not observed any such nonsense at my uni.
 
We have a pretty even mix of conservative and liberal staff members and students.
 
Likely more liberals than conservatives, but I’d say like 60/40, not exactly a crushing divide.

Reason? Logic? History? Scientific consensus? Objectivity? That’s what separates good teachers from bad ones, which is my whole point.  

 
Exactly my point, which is why Marxist professors are such a problem. Universities need to step up and say no, you can’t just teach this as if it’s just as valid as any other theory, because it’s not.

That’s not a good way of thinking, because then who becomes the arbiter of what’s good and what’s bad? We may get lucky and have a reasonable person who is that arbiter but we run the risk of having an arbiter who isn’t reasonable. Schools and institutions of higher education are for learning, not for being spoon fed propaganda. If you truly believe it’s a bullshit ideology then let it be taught, the majority of normal people are smart enough to know a bullshit ideology when they hear one.

All ideas don’t deserve to be treated equally in a classroom. If that were the case, we’d teach both creationism and evolution. They have to listen, not make up their own mind, that’s the whole point of education.
 
It’s also why teaching a bullshit ideology is unacceptable; because of that very fact.

For the 100th time, it’s not about oppression, it’s about applying the rules FAIRLY. CONSISTENCY. It’s not about who’s the most victimized, who gets more oppression points, that’s literal nonsense, you know full well that I oppose identity politics so don’t be so disingenuous as to suggest that I’m doing the same thing when I’m not.  

 
Pointing out hypocrisy, or alleged hypocrisy doesn’t actually make an argument; it’s whataboutism. Everything is equal so people should just do whatever they want because no-one is perfect. Consistency is exactly what I’m advocating for so accusing me of hypocrisy MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE, and you know it.

Teaching should be neutral, the same way a scientist talks about germs should be the same way a history professor talks about communism. Tell people what it was, what it led to, and the effects it had on people.
 
You give people all the information needed in an unbiased way and you let them make their own choice. The smart people who paid attention will realize communism was a mistake that should not be repeated, dumb people will think the opposite.
 
Censoring this information and keeping it hidden, will just make the problem worse. Personally I just believe there are too many dumb people who need to grow up and pay attention in class but that’s just me

There’s a huge difference between censoring history and teaching why history was wrong. You wouldn’t teach left-wing authoritarianism as a good idea for the same reason you wouldn’t teach Fascism as a good idea.
 
They clearly weren’t taught why it was wrong otherwise they wouldn’t be espousing these beliefs.

The alternative would be censoring important information about history, and you’d have to forgive me if I’m not on board with censoring history.

Gee, I don’t know, maybe I’m in the minority here, but I just don’t think that teaching an ideology that has historically led to the deaths of million is a good idea.

This idea that Marxism and communism is seeing a resurgence is bullshit. Your conspiracy theory is the kind of nonsense a right wing radio host would rant about for hours before bringing on a guest who claims he was abducted by aliens.
 
Now look, it’s fair to say that there are SJWs and femnazis who believe in communism, a lot of them are dumb kids so it’s more than likely they like the idea of communism. But to say that hundreds of thousands of university professors are in on a massive conspiracy theory to brainwash kids into supporting Marxism is, like I keep saying, nonsense.
 
And even if you claim that SJWs are all Marxists, they’re just dumb kids on Facebook with little to no political power. Look at the candidates they support to, Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders. The idea that these two politicians are Marxists is absurd. Saying that Bernie Sanders is Communist is like saying that Switzerland is Germany. And saying that Hillary Clinton is a Marxist is the naïve thing you can say, the idea of a magic bullet killing JFK is more believable than the idea that Hillary is a Marxist.
 
There is no Marxist uprising in the United States, a country that has no free healthcare for everyone, where the workers don’t own the means of production, and a country where one man doesn’t hold absolute power. It’s like what Dustcan said, have you every just considered the fact that young kids just like the idea of communism without anyone glorifying it because they’re naïve and stupid?
 
 
And like I keep telling you, I’m getting sick of Conservatives playing the victim card and bitching and moaning about how oppressed they are while they cheer on Donald Trump as he rips up Obama’s legacy. There are no laws against conservatives, they can be anyone they want and go wherever they want.

I think college just has the effect of exposing young people to people and ideas they wouldn’t have given a lot of thought otherwise. Like, I went to a Christian private college and I still left it more liberal than I was when I went in.
