Hello, I have updated my artist links, they all have the name of artist:ponygamer2020 but there is one called artist:ponygamersfm and I want to remove it from the Artist link because I no longer use it.

Can you help me how to remove the Artist:ponygamersfm tag in Artist Link?

Thank you for reporting that. No, unless Hasbro has publicly released the entire episode, we really shouldn’t be trying to host a complete episode, even if it’s speeded up.

Besides not really being what the site is for - this isn’t YouTube or DailyVision - anything involving that VOLUME of Hasbro IP and especially anything which might be seen as an attempt to do an end-run around voice talent IP, is just not a good idea.

Please remember that anything tied to something like voice actor contracts, or that in any way touches AFTRA or whatever the US agency is that regulates voice talent IP, is going to be a problem.

Hasbro is very hands off where the stuff we usually host is concerned. But as soon as we start fucking with the audio, or violate an actor’s rights, or try to host something that is the actual bread and butter of Hasbro and its licensees, things get wibbly wobbly.

So please do not try to do that any more, ok? Do it on YouTube. They have a stable of lawyers large enough to be able to deal with it, and with you, if the need comes.

I was planning to upload a super slow version of Portrait Of A Princess since I made a 20-second version.The first thing you said.. does the 20-second one count as more than 10 seconds of official audio?

Yeah - the only limit on time or duration for videos is that we can not host anything with more than 10 or so seconds of official audio from Hasbro, unless the video was publicly released by Hasbro or one of their licensees.

The real limit is file size.

How big is the file size? If I’m remembering correctly, the site has a 100MB limit.

I want to upload a 47-minute video, but it won’t go through. Also I’m not posting it anonymously. It’s odd because there’s this, which is even longer and still uploaded. So, is there a limit on how long videos can be?

Thank you, I thought about the same workaround uploading animated and still images in separate uploads, then linking in description.

Unfortunately no great solution for those.

GIMP (and others) can be used to merge all images together with some patience and export as a GIF, but everything loses a lot of quality.

What I used to do is stitch a non animated version together and upload that and the animated frames separately, and link them to each other in the descriptions

Hello everypony! You ‘llsee, I’ve been trying to link my derpibooru account with my twitter account. The first time I tried, everything was ok. But, due to personal issues with my net connection and twitter, I had to delet the tweet with the verification code. Since then, I’ve been trying to link the accounts again, but always send me to 5XX error page.

What should I do? Keep waiting or I have to contact a staff member?

It seems like it works only when image was not deleted completely — DA still has link conversion data (for example, fav.me links in these cases redirects you to the image url with deviation name, not just numeric id. I made 2 example links, but it decided just to die in my hands, ugh. Maybe it’s because image was actually hidden but not deleted?), so it’s able to give you image if you find a way to ask.

Good news — token exploit works on these images, so after following wix redirect by just pasting retrieved url into address bar and performing some manipulations you can obtain original image in original quality. But it’s not like you can do it easily by hand…

I’ve found a little magic that could greatly help art conservation for images and accounts already deleted from DeviantART.

Step 1: Go to the Wayback Machine and put in the deviation’s address if you know it, or try to navigate there via the deviant’s page or gallery (gallery offset probably won’t work, ‘solid’ links only). I was shocked to find that a no-name artist’s work had been archived in 2015, so it may well have been a site-wide backup; mileage may vary.

Step 2: Once the page with the image is loading, tap Ctrl+I to open Page Info (in Firefox), and navigate to the Media tab. Sort by file type and scroll down to the Images. Once you find what you believe to be the main image (it will share the name of the deviation’s link, and probably be the largest one), copy that link from the list (it will end in .JPG, .PNG, etc.). Don’t worry if the image isn’t loading in Wayback.

Step 3: Open Derpibooru’s reverse image search (or go directly to upload if you’re sure it’s not here already) and paste the link into the “fetch” bar. Remove Wayback Machine from the link so it begins with “http˸//img05․deviantart․net”, and fetch. As if cast by Star Swirl himself, the image should magically load in the preview! You can also put this link into your browser, to check the image at full size.

I have done this with two images now (albeit from the same artist), and for some reason it just works. Despite Wayback not being able to load the images, Derpibooru can somewhow yank them straight out of DA’s ancient cache. Give it a try and let me know if it works for you! As a staunch advocate for preserving all works of fan art (regardless of the artist’s wishes), I find this extremely exciting, and I hope others will make use of this method to preserve as much as they can!

Bonus Step: Thanks to the Wayback Machine loading the deviation’s page if not the image, you can also preserve the original description, which I highly recommend quoting in your upload!

I used to use the Multiple Image Combiner website a long time ago but idk if it still works since I started doing it myself in Photoshop (also haven’t uploaded any comics/asks in quite a while).

Could also use GIMP or literally any image editor. Indeed Inkscape’s snapping does make things super simple.
