Of course, on good booru sites, like this one, sources should always lead back to the original artist’s work where they can be subscribed to or followed. Derpi makes a very, very big deal about crediting artists, respecting their wishes, and making sure they link back to the preferred site or profile. That is of the most importance here.
I’ve seen artist mad because people RPed on their image when they wanted actual feedback.
The situation now is we do have people complaining about these things near constantly; many of them are artists that teeter on not wanting their work here because it ends up lost in a sea of template images. The booru is already known by many as memebooru, or the various exploitable memes known as “derpibooru memes” outside the site
If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
