Hi all. I’m interested in finding out the origin of some tags. But it seems there is no way to search for it, since sorting by initial post date doesn’t always mean that’s the first occurrence of the tag.
Would there be another way?

Could a description be added to this tag saying something along the lines of “Princess Luna using magic to make herself appear like Nightmare Moon, but not actually transforming into the real Nightmare Moon”? Maybe worded better.

When screwed on properly, the bulbs/lobes of the heard should instead be located toward the posterior of the hoof while the point of the heart/arrow should point to the front of the hoof.


Note how Izzy is presumably rearing. The hearts that form her frogs should point upward.

What puzzles me is that this isn’t some mistake that can be chalked up to no one in the animation studio having ever seen an IRL horse before. The frog is a part of horse anatomy I would not expect them to add unless they already knew horses were supposed to have them. Stylizing them into hearts makes perfect sense in the visual language of Equestria. However, somehow their hearts pointing the opposite direction of IRL horses got the greenlight for their generic pony model early in the process because the decision was remarkably consistent.

It would be one thing if this were just some artistic decision, like stylizing their heads. However, I fear a number of new artists will copy G5’s artistic direction, mistakes and all, and be hoodwinked into drawing backward frogs on their ponies without ever knowing better and citing G5 official media when the discrepancy is explained to them.

One year had passed since Luna had returned at Nightmare Night. Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Twilight, Rainbow Dash and Spike was together in Raritys home while Rarity made Nightmare Night dresses for her friends. It were one of the last summer days while the sun was sinking behind the hills. Fluttershy was always home on Nightmare Night but she always knew that Applejack would come by for a sleepover that night. Later that night was the ponies and Spike trying to sleep while they waited for that special night. The ponies was wearing the same dresses as last year while they all met in Raritys house. In the meanwhile was ponies busy with preparing for the festival. There was fruits and candy for sale everywhere, while the band from Canterlot came up on the stage.

“I am going out and work with Applejack and Spike now so see you later tonight girls.” Twilight said to her friends in her Starswirl dress and beard.

So that night was Twilight working with Applejack and Spike at their carnival games. Some ponies was dressed up like ghosts, some like space travelling ponies and another like a shark. The Cutie Mark Crusaders they came also to the marketplace too that night. Luna came by in her chariot while the surprised crowd at the marketplace bowed for her.

“Hey Luna great to see you again.” Twilight said to Luna that came by at the farmer ponys carnival games.

“Nice to see you again too and I remember you Applejack from last year.” Luna said to Applejack.

“And now let the fun be doubled!” Luna shouted in her Canterlot voice.

Later on was Applejack, Spike and Twilight going around at the marketplace and Applejack and her friends was going to the other carnival games too that night. The baby dragon and the farmer pony they both danced to the band on the stage too.

”Good Evening everypony we have some music for tonight!” The Mayor said on the stage while the band from Canterlot playing.

The alicorn and her friends went to the park after the dance and there they met with Pinkie Pie, a crowd of fillies and Rainbow Dash on a cloud. he pegasus pony and her friends they walked around the park for a while under the moonlight. There was a view over the distant mountains and hills from that park. Nopony else was out in the quiet park at that time where the statute of Nightmare Moon was standing. Then the pegasus pony told a long story about how she and her friends went out at Nightmare Night for the first time as fillies. Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy was like The Cutie Mark Crusaders at that time. At that Nightmare Night was they teaming up with filly Pinkie Pie. After the story was Rainbow Dash and her friends returning to the crowded marketplace.

I know this thread might seem unnecessary, but I think this game is interesting on its owns merits like gameplay, easter eggs, funny moments, background ponies and so on.

I also think here we can talk about the different gameplay or images in the game. Maybe even some possible mods or improvements. Like maybe being allowed to jump in more areas or give the background ponies their own dialogue.

The tag 2 panel comic sets a good precedent: it has the aliases “two panel comic” and “two panels”, and it implies “comic”. So our “4 panel comic” and “6 panel comic” tags should follow suit:

four panel comic, four panels -> 4 panel comic (already implies “comic” so that’s good)

Six panel comic, six panels -> 6 panel comic, should imply comic.

And from personal experience, this would be helpful because just a few minutes ago I searched for “six panel comic”, found nothing, and thought there wasn’t a tag for it, because I didn’t think to search “6 panel comic” instead.

spruce and birch should both imply “tree”.

Then we have oak and oak tree, they aren’t used much, so I think one of them should be aliased to the other, then made to imply “tree”. Or perhaps both could imply “tree”?

juniper and juniper tree are also little used. Similarly, they should be aliased (or merged?), then made to imply “tree”.

If someone knows more tree tags, post them.

“Binkie”, sometimes spelled “Binky” (based on my research) is a fairly less common alternative name for a pacifier.

Doing a quick search, there seems to be a lot of overlap between the tags.

binky has 32 images, of which only 9 do not also have the pacifier tag.
binkie meanwhile only has 1 image (nsfw, foalcon), which makes me think it’s a typo, but could just as easily be an alternate spelling given that the term exists on urban dictionary.

There are some differences in context between binky, binkie, and pacifier, but I believe they’re similar enough to justify an alias.

The detailed description for the ‘futa’ tag states that posts with futa should not also have the ‘female’ tag. Isn’t that what futa is, though?
