If I can make a stance on Donald’s literacy, I say that he can read and write, but he is lazy when it comes to writing, which I say because his books are ghostwritten.

That is my opinion on Trump’s literacy, and really, what does his literacy matter? That Trump is a con-artist (Trump University) is a lot more important than him being illiterate.

@Thanotos Omega
Are you really gonna argue with me about this, Thanotos?

Many centuries ago, people treated the Earth being the center of the universe as a fact. One philosopher decided to become hyper critical about it and we learned that we weren’t ever close to the center. Since he could not prove it in a way that people can understand, he was killed. Only many years later did people start believing in his words after seeing the data he accumulated.

Treating any information with skepticism is a survival technique. Especially in a world whether information can travel ever so freely without any checkpoints, anything can be treated as “truth” with enough supporters. Not expecting proof, hell even rejecting it, is a sin in my eyes.

Take this to account. If there were hundreds of people telling you how jumping over a cliff would give you powers, many of them you don’t know but are said to be scientists, engineers, local media and government officials, would you do it?

It’s collaborated by other stuff we know including leaked memos about needing to add Trumps name to reports to keep his interest up, i see no reason to be hyper critical of more of the same knowledge we already had,

Reading the page before (including Cyborg_pony and Thanotos being their obvious usual self), I find the topic of anonymous sources being quite interesting.

On one side, it enables whistle-blowers to reveal the problems and weaknesses found within government and society, and shows the world the dirty truths that exist regardless of the possible effects. And yet on the other side, it is literally impossible to prove whether or not it is real, making it easily abuseable and holds no weight in any argument other than theories or speculation.

While I am not a fan of anonymous sources, I am not ignorant of their purpose within society. Honestly for those here, I hoped that you people would treat all anonymous sources with a grain of salt instead of just accepting it as fact instantaneously (looking at you, Thanotos).

Anonymous data should NEVER be seen as unwavering truths. Skepticism is extremely important and instead of attacking people because you heard a rumor, do your research.

If what Trump did is real, then you are right. If it isn’t, then you are wrong. Regardless of whether you are right or wrong, it will not change what it is. It’ll make you angry or betrayed or some other irrelevant feeling, but the effects will not change.

Right or wrong doesn’t matter unless you act upon it. But you don’t and being correct only exists to feed your petty ego. All in all, I’m disappointed in all of you.

By the way, just so we’re all clear, the report in question is this one from The Washington Post, dated August 4. It only mentions Trump’s short atten–SQUIRREL! in passing, as part of a larger piece about his Afghanistan strategy.
Trump had little time for in-depth briefings on Afghanistan’s history, its complicated politics or its seemingly endless civil war. Even a single page of bullet points on the country seemed to tax the president’s attention span on the subject, said senior White House officials.
“I call the president the two-minute man,” said one Trump confidant. “The president has patience for a half-page.”

You have argued for a claim that is as wrong as the original claim. Both cannot be right because no one knows if the leakers’ claims of Donald’s illiteracy are true or not.

Then, you committed an ad hominem, attacking the other by using their confirmation bias against them.

And then, you used lack of evidence as a disproof, in which it is not, and shifted the burden of proof upon me for claims whose proof and disproof I do not know of.

Just admit you have nothing. It’s just you looking for anything to discredit a person you personally dislike.

What does it matter he or she has confirmation bias? Weren’t you arguing that the claims were wrong earlier?

You’re not going to argue because you can’t prove anything.

Do you know how many spelling errors in Text messages I get from family members?

I’m not arguing with you about this. I just don’t want to argue at all. Can’t you take people words that the President doesn’t read very well. I know crazy right.

After all the supposed sources coming up to be downright fabrications, I take this as seriously as the earth being flat.

I have no idea where this came from, who said it so I wont trust it.

That would be like me coming in an saying:

Hey! There’s this White house personal that heard Obama wanted to bomb areas that wouldn’t vote for Hillary. He’s in fear of his life of being execute now so there’s no name, but this proves I was right to believe Obama was a horrible dictator!

Ya see where I’m getting at?

Also: I don’t think he was a dictator, just a really bad president that people propped up as a media darling.

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
