That could be pretty funny in a Madlibs sort of way.

An episode–probably the pilot–retold absolutely straight, but with all the dialogue taken from youtube’s automatic captions. None of the characters notice that they’re talking funny, and aspects of the captions (character’s names, for instance) gradually bleed into the narration to create internal consistency.

Doesn’t he also go under the handle “Biologic Orthodoxy”? I know of him because he wrote Field Notes on Alicorn Reproductive Behavior, which explains where alicorns come from a fuck-of-a-lot better than the show does/did.

Although he is know for being swept up in drama, he’s a damn good writer. He finally called it quits and left fimfiction when the drama got too heavy. He was inactive for quite awhile. Luckily, there was some new activity from him, such as writing a chapter for one of SleeplessBrony’s stories

I have one headcanon
 
Caramel (At least at the start of S2) was always a klutz, with his Cutie Mark essentially being bad luck (one of the horseshoes is upside down, a sign of bad luck). He wants to be an active member of society, but couldn’t thanks to said klutziness. He wanted to work with the most influential business in all of Ponyville: Sweet Apple Acres, and is often assigned to Applejack’s team for Winter Wrap Up. He’s not entirely sure himself, but his quickness to hide himself away in shame when he screws up in front of Applejack hints that he has at least a crush on her.

If that name doesn’t ring a bell… I don’t really blame you. To my knowledge, he only wrote one fic.
 
…But that one fic was Equestria: Total War, the story that restored my faith in fanfiction. The fact that he disappeared without a trace and left such a masterpiece unfinished is devastating.

BronyCray and Aldea Donder. I know they’re still around, but it’s been almost two years since they updated either of their stories I’ve followed since 2011 [“TNTNE”:https://www.fimfiction.net/story/25219/the-night-that-never-ended and “Alicorn”:http://www.fimfiction.net/story/19341/alicorn.
 
The former fic was nearly finished by the time BC stopped updating, so I’m still clinging to the hope that he’ll find the time to round it off. While Alicorn looked to be a long way off finishing by chapter 4, and I’m not confident about seeing any continuation there sadly.

So we all have those writers we follow avidly, the ones who just keep pumping out hit after hit, but there’s always that one. You know who I mean. The writer who came up with that amazing fic, promised a sequel and then disappeared off the face of the planet.
 
Life got em. They found a new interest. They just disappeared.
 
For me it’s Karazor. He wrote pony scifi that frankly blows away most of what you might read - at least IMO (and we all know what they say about opinions).
 
I know he’s out there somewhere, enjoying himself the way only scifi nerds can, but I really miss his fics.

Anyway, I remain interested in this lovely lady, who never quite gets counted among the main background ponies. She doesn’t have any clones, she’s only in season 4 started getting cutie marks (but never the same one), but she’s been around basically since the beginning. What’s your deal, Candy Mane?

I don’t know if you’ve noticed but every time someone notices a zany new background character, the common outcry from the community always runs along the same lines: “let’s make this character popular!” or “I request porn immediately!” Well, it’s inevitable that many characters end up falling by the wayside, or end up not being discovered at all! The only way to really get a character known is if you contribute them to the community in some way. One of those ways happens to be fanfic.
 
So here’s the idea of this thread: find images of background ponies and add a little bit of your lore for them to your post. The rest of the thread can do the same, adding little ideas to a particular pony. Maybe we’ll collect enough ideas for someone to get an idea for a fanfic, but in the meantime, I thought that this would be a fun little thing to christen the new fanfiction forum.

I brought this odd Rainbow Dash look alike to Fanfiction General’s attention a while ago: we determined that she was a rich weaboo who blows her fortunes on collectibles. When she has to go to social events, she tucks nendoroids (or whatever their pony counterparts would be) in-between her crotch boobs.
 
Somehow, she manages to become the girlfriend of Gizmo, whom she tries to turn into the perfect shoujo male hero.
