Sorry, I’ve been busy as well. I actually did have something I got really excited about for “funky” but never got it to a point that I’d be willing to share it.
 
Of topic, but I’m curious: has anyone read or done a deconstruction/parody/retelling of the first Equestria Girls movie? Lately I’ve been thinking about various ways it could’ve still worked as something for its targeted demographic, but still be enjoyable for people outside it (like, you know, most of G4).
 
Most of my ideas regarding it seem to be “make the High School AU an action-packed universe of ham and serious business,” sorta like Kill la Kill.

That’s the route I would go. Like he drops he grades, perhaps inadvertently keeps her from being able to enter a college she wants to go to. Her parents ball her out for getting bad grades. The lies make her friends leave her. Then have it end with the teacher getting caught, but nothing being solved/ or the girl just loses outright.
 
Or if you wish to go the ultradark route. She blows her brains out. Teacher loses cause…she’s dead.

Here’s an odd question relating to one of my original fiction stories; don’t think too hard about it.
 
If you’re an aging high school chorus class teacher who feels like they’ve wasted their talents, and you find an amazing poem in folds of a student’s notepad while grading work that you make into a smash hit song, what will you do to churn more music out of this girl? Sure, you play nice at first, but you realize that her poems are fueled by anger. What then? Do you drop grades? Spreads lies about her so that her precious boyfriend of three years leaves her? Give me something harsh, I’m trying to explore human desperate-ness here.
