Pinkie does the stalker thing when she’s in a good mood. She didn’t stop bothering Cranky until she got depressed, after all, and she was tracking her friends until she thought that they didn’t like her.
 
So, the residents of Ponyville probably do get stalked on a regular basis, but it’s more Pepe Le Pew than Friday the Thirteenth.

Are we doing depressing-as-balls headcanons now? Ok, I can roll with that.
Rainbow Dash and Trixie both are obsessed with attention and proving how awesome they are, because the only time their parents paid any attention to them was hurl emotional abuse and ridicule.
Similarly Fluttershy developed a shy, meek personality because being as quiet and unobtrusive as possible was the only way to avoid her father’s drunken wrath.
 
Speaking of Fluttershy, I wrote this whole big backstory about how she comes from a long line of ace-flyers (her great-grandfather on her mother’s side was one of the original Wonderbolts, you know) and how Fluttershy’s mother’s family are racist and nearly disowned her mother for marrying an earth pony. Fortunately, Fluttershy was born a pegasus and all was well…until Fluttershy’s father got eaten by a dragon, causing Fluttershy’s mother to just snap and force Fluttershy into a brutal flying regimen partially because of the mocking laughter of her mother’s family and partially because of a misguided attempt to save Fluttershy from her father’s fate.
 
This explains why Fluttershy, despite being a self-described bad flyer, can fly just as fast as Rainbow Dash, but only in emergencies. She’s got a major mental block due to her abusive childhood, but if she could get past that block, she could very well be Wonderbolts material.

We’ll meet halfway. Pinkie does do the stalker thing but not as often as they think. Pinkie’s harassment of Cranky Doodle is one of those rare times she does, reinforcing their beliefs.

The entire show is really from a girl’s imagination playing with her pony toys.

The show is actually a stage performance and the ponies are actually actors with different personalities compared to their stage personas. Everyone’s still a pony though.

There are no multicolored ponies. Just regular colored ones. Most of them use perma-hair dyes. Why? because it is a time honored tradition. It’s even considered attractive. Although that doesn’t stop some ponies to “go against the flow”. Like Pipsqueak.

The reason why a lot of the royal guards look like each other is because they are actually magical constructs materialized by the princesses to make it look like Equestria has a large military force to ward off gullible would-be invaders when in reality there is only a handful of real soldiers hidden among the ranks of their own enchanted clones.

Adding to this, Pinkie is completely aware of how most ponies feel about her, which is why she is so frightened of losing her only real friends. Despite what most of the town thinks, when she’s rejected she just sits in her room and has tea parties with imaginary friends. Before cutting herself as punishment for her failure. The scars blend in with her pink coat.
 
Celestia’s natural coat color is the same shade of pink as her original toy. She’s using either magic or mundane cosmetics to bleach her coat to the extremely pale pink that she has in the show.

I know Chrysalis was charged on Shining Armor’s love (though I thought that was character shilling on the highest order). I was arguing that Celestia was giving it everything she had, instead of having this huge amount of power she could have used if she was willing to level the mountain.
 
Crazy Headcanon:
 
Most of Ponyville don’t actually like Pinkie. They’re in the throws of Stockholm Syndrome, and react to Pinkie because showcasing their true feelings would get Pinkie to go all stalker on them.

Pinklestia is actually another royal sister named Sanare, and she is the goddess of Health and Medicine, but rather than join her sisters in rule of Equestria, she spends most of her time abusing her royal status and powers, aka, pretty much acting like a rich celebrity.
 
Celestia and Luna are endlessly embarrassed by her, and whenever she comes up in conversation, she is referred to as an estranged cousin rather than a sibling.

I thought it was really obvious. Chrysalis was unusually supercharged and Celestia was artificially weak.
 
If it had been a fair fight with both at 100% power, Celestia would probably have an edge.
 
Of course (CRAZY HEADCANON TIME!!) I think that Celestia actually lost there not only because she was unknowingly depowered, but because she was a little cocky, even though she didn’t show it. Basically, she figured one blast from her pingashorn alicorngun Horn would take Chrysalis out, and when it didn’t, she was caught by surprise. (the look on her face in the ep more or less confirms this)
 
I do believe that Celestia and Luna are demigoddesses. But “demi-” means “half”, so ultimately they are mortal… but they age so slowly they might as well be immortal to the other ponies.

Princess Celestia isn’t a god or a demigod. She couldn’t ramp up the power to crush Chrysalis at the cost of destroying the mountain. She lost entirely on her own screwups.

She lost because she wasn’t a queen.
Or she lost because Chrysalis was super-charged from feeding on the love Shining Armor had for Cadence. If you watch the episode again, even Chrysalis was like “Holy shit, I actually did it!”

King Sombra had a child. Together with the remnants of Sombra’s loyalists and other beings the Royal Alicorn Sisters defeated, they helped orchestrate Luna’s downfall. They were destroyed in the aftermath, but they were trying to screw the sisters as much as possible over a victory.

The Princesses don’t have to worry about delegates or relationships with other countries, the other species know that they only live cause the Princesses allow it/ give a crap enough about life that they bother to raise the sun and moon. That and they don’t want a mountain dropped on them.
What…I like the Princesses being ultra powerful gods idea.

I personally like the headcanon that Celestia and Luna don’t have full control of the sun and moon, they just give them a push to get them started each morning and night, just like setting the pendulum of a clock in motion.
